Resident Evil 7's release date is only days away on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but what are the chances of a Nintendo Switch port?

Express Online has spoken to producer Masachika Kawata and director Koshi Nakanishi to find out if the Nintendo Switch games lineup is about to be given a boost.

Unforunately, however, it doesn't look good for Nintendo Switch fans with a taste for survival horror.

"I think it's a very unique piece of hardware," producer Masachika Kawata explained.

"I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch."

Here's hoping that if the Nintendo Switch does take off, Resident Evil 7 will make an appearance further down the line.

Can we rather have a thread when a new AAA release has plans on releasing on Switch as well?

RE7 was in development longer before NX (still a code name at the time) announce it's development and I don't think no one expected to see RE7 port anyways. Better yet, give me RE4 HD port on Switch and I'll be happy.

Remember those rumors that Switch would launch with RE7, Mass Effect Andromeda, For Honor and Ghost Recon? Good times lol.

We already know this, it wasnt announced during the January 12th presentation.

I'm not buying RE7 anyway but I doubt the NS has the hardware to even run the game.

@Gatygun: Not really surprised. Even games like SkyRim will most likely be downgraded in it's released on Switch. They should have made the system more powerful. If they release more games for it then the Wii U, I might still take a look. Right now it's pretty much a wait and see.

I never expected it to come to the Switch in the first place. Even if it was, I'm dead-set on the PC version.

Why are we acting all surprised, sheep went back to not caring about 3rd party support. But sucks for anyone who still had hopes.

@AzatiS: I meant if they actually made a FULL FLEDGED remake of RE4, with updated graphics/mechanics/controls/etc, the same way the did with RE1 and are doing with RE2, then I'm a happy camper!

Oh ok , you talking about a Remake not just another HD version of RE4.
