Can we say that DBXV is the BEST Dragon Ball game?

I have to say that out of all the Dragon Ball games I have ever played that this game completely triumphs Budokai 3 as the BEST Dragon Ball game ever been made. The battles are awesome, The Character Creation is great, and when Online works it's actually fun to play around and challenge people or complete quests.

I'm actually battling myself to either play more of this game or Monster Hunter 4 at the moment.

System Warriors, do you have this game and do you agree that this is the Best Dragon Ball game to ever be made?

I'll wait for J-Star VS+ cause I played All DBZ: Budokai to DBZ: Burst Limit and from there, noting has change. To be honest, I seen trailers and gameplays but it does look good but Burst Limit ruin me on playing any more DBZ games.

The fact that you think Budokai 3 is the best DBZ made instantly makes this thread moot. Budokai 3 was really good but Budokai Tenkaichi 3 takes a huge dump on Budokai 3.

Bull lol I have all 3 and 3 is easily the best out of the series and the closest to the anime. Tenkaichi 2 was beast though.

If you think Tenkaichi 3 is the closest to the anime you should REALLY play Xenoverse.

There is a game on NES called Dragon Power. Its the greatest DB game of all time.

I heard this was as shitty as previous games, best ones are still Budokai 2 and Hyper Dimention.

Budokai 3 was a great game and I loved it but there's no way possible you can say that it's closer to the anime than Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Yeah, I want this game, but not $60 want it.

Finally somebody that isn't blinded by Budokai 3's nostalgia. Tenkaichi 3 is the closest they've gotten to the anime. Budokai 3 doesn't even come close. Xenoverse looks like it has potential though.

Unfortunately, some of the things I've read view any DBZ game that's a "DBZ simulator" (Tenkaichi series) and not like other fighters (Budokai 3) as a bad thing. C'mon, do shooter fans complain that the Jedi Knight games like Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy is/can be a "Jedi simulator?"

It's crazy and over the top and I feel like I'm actually playing the anime.

This is like Naruto Ninja Storm 3 levels of good.

@nini200: While i don't understand either the hate towards Budokai Tenkaichi 3, is not about how close to the Anime is, but how fun it is, and Budokai 3 was insanely fun while Tenkaichi 3 can get's boring after a while since it becomes really shallow due to the characters being extremely similar.

i have no plan to get a DB game again, the last DB game i had is Budokai Tentaichi, i don't remeber if it was 2 or 3. the only anime game i get now is Naruto Storm, it's way better than the DB games right now

so far its pretty fun. I just wish the lobby system worked. I guess they didint think so many people would come in at once.

Yea I know its about being fun as well,but the game feeling like im playing the anime is part of the fun. This is why I like tenkaichi series more then budokai. Tenkaichi just felt like I was playing a dbz game.

Tenkaichi 3 is more fun than budokai 3 as well. As far as how similar the characters are, more characters are similar on Budokai 3 than Tenkaichi 3 so I'm not understanding the issue here. Budokai 3 was a great game I agree wholeheartedly there but it's not as close to the anime nor is it as fun as Tenkaichi 3. Tenkaichi 3 is just an all around better and faster paced game than Budokai 3.

Its a decent DBZ game. I think people are over hyping it cuz its the best in the last 7 years. But not the best DBZ game there is.

I wish the would stop making DBZ games with the horrid Tenkaichi simple flashy kid friendly style of gameplay, and made game like the traditional hardcore Budokai style.

And by the way.... the best DBZ game EVER is Legacy of Goku 2.

Not in my opinion, the combat sucks. I like that the story has actual cut scenes and isn't just 2D pictures with text.

yeah that's what a lot of people say, maybe the reason i love the game is because i'm a huge fan of the anime naruto. but i don't think the game is really that bad

The Boss Fights are Fantastic..... my favourite being Overcoming Hatred but beyond that its mostly Spectacle......

The Anime was good untill this Jinchuriki and Mangekyo Sharingan Crap Started...... although as the lore got worse.... the narrative and characters seemed to improve..... crazy right ?

Nothing can top the greatness that is Legacy of Goku 2. Not even Legacy of Goku 3: Buu's Fury did that.

But with that said, Dragon Ball XV IS better than both Tenkaichi and Budokai 3. If you actually played it you would know. It really is in the same tier level as recent Naruto games.

It's alright but I dislike the custom character creation aspect. I wish there was a mode where you didn't have the use of items as well. I've been playing against people that have silly fast regenerating health and then the time runs out and you lose.

It's starting to put me off of the on-line play.

welp you just prove my point cuz the Naruto Storm game suffer from the same bullshit. Overly Simplistic gameplay with lame fight mechanics that is too cinematic and focuses more on cinematics than good fighting.

The PS2 Ultimate Ninja games were a to of fun because of the fighting and variety of moves and dynamic stages (sure the specials were cutscenes too, but atleast there were like 3-5 different specials per-character, unlike Storm where you get one and maybe two you are lucky).

That depends on what you want out of a DBZ game. If you wanted a more core fighting experience I don't think you would like Xenoverse.

I agree, I've played many DBZ games and I can say that xenoverse is the best Dbz game to come out, very fun.

which is the saddest part. Im not even asking for core fighting gameplay... Im asking for decent fighting gameplay.

Burst Limit imo was the best, the only thing i disliked was the small roster but the fight mechanics were my favorite

I think I might check out Xenoverse for around $20. Should be a good time and I wouldn't mind getting hits by wave of nostalgia.

The game seem interesting. I'll definitely check it out when the price is lower.
