Not even the biggest fanboy can do such a thing till MGS4 and FFXIII show their faces. IF it still fails then, then yes, the book will be closed on it.

no. a lot of people have crazy standards for what you would call a failure. People so quick to say that the n64 was a failure, which isn't true. 3D0 was a failure. Jaguar was a failure. Virtual Boy was a failure. Sega cd/ 32X was a failure.

I am a Lemming, and I say absoulutley not. BUT that is to what is bolded, not what you said in the title. As of RIGHT NOW, the PS3 is a total bust. It lost many, many of its exclusives, it's games don't run as well vs. the 360. It lost millions of 'loyal Sony fans' to the 360, and Wii. PS3 = worst console right now, but it might not be the worst console once everything is said an done. (well, it looks more and more like it will be last, but you never know right???)

Coming off the success of the PS and PS2.....Yeah. it is a failure. That's not even debatable. What we are debating is: Is the PS3 one of the biggest failures of ALL-TIME

How had microsoft took millions of loyal sony fans, did you ask them, most 360 owners if not all are original abox owners who were forced to buy 360 since microsoft closed the book of xbox, ps3 hasen't even been out a year worldwide yet

Nope. It has sold about as much as 360 did in its 1st year with 2 competitors already on the market. PS3...

1. Has worse online

2. Is much more expensive

3. Hardly has any good titles

4. Has a worse controller than 360

5.Is humongous (which is something Japan usually hates)

6. People were told lies about it before it launched

7. Has had advertising far worse than Wii and 360

And despite ALL OF THIS, it still has managed to sell about as well as 360 in its 1st year. It is also the best selling console at its price in history. And lemmings aren't worried about the PS3 price drop...

And lemmings need to realize one other thing. You may not like it, but it is the truth. If 360 had very few hardware defects like PS3 has, then 360 would already be selling much worse. Remember...launch 360s had 3 month warranties only at the beginning. People who had Xbox 360s fail left and right on them 4 months after launch had tobuy a new one. They couldn't just get another one for free. Not everyone who had a 360 break bought a new one, but those that did factor into the sales. Now, PS3 doesn't have these hardware defects like 360 has.
