Can Sony even afford a price war?

I mean the Xbox One, Which I got during the price cut. Yet Sony STILL hasn't responded to MS's price cut. Or are they so poor they can't even cut 50 bucks?. Look the PS4 is a good console but if Sony wants to win this generation, they WILL eventually have to cut prices for the PS4. What do you think, Can Sony afford cutting prices for the PS4?

Sony will do a price cut when the Demand dies down. Economics 101. Supply and Demand.

Why would they drop the price when they are outselling the competition? Also it's a new product. If you have to drop the price....you're not selling.

I thought this had to be a fakeboy account thread because the logic is baffling. Sony is killing the competition without a single price cut thus far. You only cut prices when sales die down.

Why the hell would you cut the price of something that is selling well. They can probably afford to do it, but why should they if they don't have to.

They will probably sell out in December anyway, if anything they should make more expensive bundles, or do a 1TB PS4 at a premium price.

They don't have to. Value vs Cost. Something could cost more but it all comes down to what the consumers perceives as value.

Sony will only lower the cost of the PS4 if they HAVE to. The PS4 has a higher perceived value so they don't have to lower the price. Simply put, it's still outselling the Xbox One. This means a price drop from Sony carries more weight which means they can hold off longer.

Also, Sony has a much better Q1 than Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't have a single noteworthy exclusive that I'm aware of that is being released prior to at least Q3 2015. Sony has The Order, Bloodborne and Disgaea 5 in Q1 2015. They also have the advantage in multiplats so games like Evolve, Batman Arkham Knight etc. are all going to be primarily sold on PS4 in Q1-2. All in all, people want to play games on consoles their friends own (good ol' X360 tatic) and the PS4 is that console (at least for now).

you cost 450 dollars with unity bundled in your console is not worth 130 more and its gonna show this november just wait and see folks will it sell maybe but not as good as the one IMO anyway
