HALO3 has a more interesting universe and the Beta was the most fun ever hard in an online FPS. But COD4 looks good.JiveTOh so i take it you havent played hhalo 2 online?
Im really looking foward to cod4, but i dont think it will be the best of the best. Im waiting to see killzone and haze before i make up my mind.
Call of Duty 4 will have a tough competition with the releases of Bioshock, Halo 3 and Crysis.jcwordlife
amongst others...

Ah, I didn't find the beta appealing in the least. Personally, other than the new maps and few new weapons I thought I was playing Halo 2. The Halo series is definitely a solid multiplayer experience on consoles and easily one of the best, but I think R6V has the best console multiplayer at the moment. When you make the jump to PC though Halo can't even compete.
Call of Duty 4, like it or not will be a good addition to the shooting genre library. However it does have STIFF competition. You got Bioshock, even the new episode of Half-Life 2 to compete with, Halo 3, etc. But in its SPECIFIC category (Modern Warfare) It should be the best. YOU CAN"T COMPARE GAMES LIKE HALO 3 WITH CALL OF DUTY. Yes, they're both shooters but simply appeal to different audiences and so differenting themes. It's like comparing an apple with an orange.lozandier
Bioshock is an adventure game disguised as an FPS.
[QUOTE="soulsofblayck"]In my eyes, COD4 > Halo 3.

'In my eyes' is a Rage Against the Machine song.
Good to know lol.
[QUOTE="DarkRider23"]And anyone who has watched the recent trailer of CoD4 will most likely agree with me.Raidea
Graphics are one thing, gameplay is an entirely different matter.
You should watch the videos on Gametrailers. The gameplay looks really good. I just hope the SP isn't as "scripted" as it was in COD2.

I have and while it looks good, it's nothing that we havn't seen time and time before.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is anything new coming to the FPS genre. It all looks a bit stale.

Exactly what do you want from FPS games? People always say that the fps genre needs something new but what do people mean by this?
