@Bread_or_Decide: This game is no more open world then San Andreas, there is a lot of static elements on the screen, the environment doesn't have to have a ton of NPC'S, just make it feel alive, BOTW does not feel alive at all and feels just like a regular RPG, this game is no where near setting the standard for open world games... Maybe if this released 10 years ago then yeah it would be impressive, not in todays age though. A game like Witcher 3 absolutely expontentially blows this game away in "open world"

That is true but for sheep this open world thing is brand new so they are easily amazed it seems. I had one guy claim link gets cold as a next gen feature. Another claimed link could drown as a new feature.

It's bad smdh they have no clue.

@xboxiphoneps3:

I suppose you can but like I said we haven't seen any extensive footage of the settlements in the game. Not even Witcher 3 has NPCs crawling around everywhere. The closer you get to settlements the more often they appear. But yeah, your guess is as good as mine.

Wow you can't make this stuff up. News flash gamers like lots of stuff on the screen. The graphics are not demanding so it should have lots of stuff. The more stuff the more options you have and the more interesting the world is.

@no-scope-AK47: go play Assassins Creed Unity there's a lot of people on the screen.

I'll wait one week and enjoy greatness in Zelda form and enjoy the setting and great game play.

Cows and less can have fun looking at lots of things on the screen.

The problem is that it's on Switch (and Wii U), so it's not even a better experience than Skyrim on PS3.

Skyrim sucks.

Also yeah here it is. Knew Zelda would piss on everything.

And subsequently expose pretenders like GTA V and Skyrim that hide shitty gameplay and boring quests behind a huge world with boring activities and in the case of Skyrim, boring NPC's. It'll be a true Zelda with no gimmicks and game design at the forefront of its priorities. No shit like Wii Motion Plus to make you forget you're playing a subpar game like Skyward Sword. Once you've played it, you'll wonder WTF you were playing and older open-world games will look like a bad joke. It'll be what open-world games were aspiring to be for the past 10 years.

You can all quote me on that.

At the time...i didn't believe it...but, i'm now quoting you on that. Zelda BotW did set new standards for Open World Games, honestly, i don't know if i ever going to enjoy an open world game as much as Zelda.
