Blops 3 on PC comes with dedicated servers and FOV slider

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will ship with bionic eyes and civil unrest and neural control and whistleblowers. That’s as standard. But on PC, it’ll also launch with dedicated servers for all ranked matches, and an adjustable FOV slider in its options menu.

“This is how we do it,” wrote Treyarch’s @pcdev.

Previous Black Ops games boasted “100% dedicated servers” for ranked matches, and Treyarch director of development Cesar ‘pcdev' Stastny yesterday confirmed the same for Black Ops 3.

Stastny also noted that Black Ops 3 will launch with an FOV slider comparable to those seen in Black Ops 1 and 2 - but said that framerate questions still remained.

“I don't like FPS caps on PC, unless necessary for balance or server performance in ranked matches,” he mused. “It’s too early to say what we can do in Black Ops 3, but that's my thinking on the topic.”

Sorry but PC gamers have higher standards than to buy some generic quick time event, linear campaign, with a prologue that holds your 12 year old ass with tons of guns to play with and health generation so the 12 year old doesn't murder his console and then his mother.

This is why I still play Counter-Strike 1.6 more than anything in my 700+ PC game library, a 16 year old game... Nothing in terms of FPS has come along that is better or that has given me reason to replace it.

after playing counter strike for so long its very hard to revert back to the call of duty series.

just crank up your sensitivity and don't try to counter recoil (because there is none)...or just sit in a corner with a shotgun and claymores

CoD is never the first place most played game for very long period of times on PC, as it is on consoles.

They actually play quite a few different online games at any given time, rather than just waiting for the next CoD/Halo.

If this was the case smaller PC scenes/games wouldn't be so varied and alive.

Personally, I pretty much dislike CoD and its MP. I simply posted the news. Don't kill the messenger :-P

I doubt I will get it.. But I have to admit the most fun I had with a CoD was Treyarch's Black Ops 1.. I didn't like its singleplayer campaign what so ever.. But it was jam packed with content with a addictive zombies mode, a varied multiplayer as well as a top down arcade style Smash TV style shooter.

The PC version of Call of Duty is never the definitive edition anymore. The ports are very inconsistent switching between three different developers. One year, Call of Duty can be totally fine on PC (Blops 2), but then it can also be absolutely terrible the next year (Ghosts). The inconsistency has lead the majority of the PC user base to just playing on console. It doesn't look as nice, but it's guranteed to work.

At least the entire community doesn't just move on to the next CoD sequel. There's way more online games and played games on PC>

im old school like that i like the community, and i like ppl coming over and playing some blops and stuff it belongs on consoles pc owners u can't beat 1080p 60 fps ur playing it the same as us so shutup

Treyarch always puts extra effort into PC versions. They tend to be a lot more tweaked to this platform than Infinity Ward's games.

Oh no doubt, the selection is way better and the taste isn't as "casual" but the elitism in the "le, funny pcmasterrace" community makes me cringe so hard. Congrats, you take gaming more seriously to the point where society laughs at you. Nice. We're all gamers, but I don't get why someone wants to tell someone else how much more intensely they take the hobby.

Been reading up on this one and it seems like they are making a genuine effort to make a good game here. Doubt I'll get it, but its nice to see Treyarch putting the effort into a series known for stagnation.

MW2 promod and cs:go is all you need on pc all those other are dudebro games for console gamers without skill!
