Bloodborne Music on par with Final Fantasy VI/ VII ?

Is BloodBorne the modern day epic masterpiece like old school FF7? Sony seems to be be bringing us back to a time where games were epic and sutff

this game looks a billion times better than crap like FFXIII and stuff like sony is the only one who knows what there doing this gen it seems like just from my point of view.

what is microsoft and pc doing gabe newell hasn't make a game since portal and they are not making pc exclusives like this with this music and such

and microsoft has no music like this halo 4 music was terrible and the game looked nothing like this

is sony the only one delivering masterpieces this gen musically and art direction and scaryness with good graphics?

I'm in will there be a ps4 price drop so i can get in at a better price point since i waited this long or whats the dealio with that i don't wanna pay as much as day one buyers for this game

Uematsu composed simple, but very memorable music. Catchy stuff.

The Souls games do have some great tracks that fit those games perfectly, but I'm not going to clearly remember those tunes over a decade later as I do with FFVII and especially FFVI.

I'm not saying Souls/Blood music is better or worse in that aspect, but the tracks won't ever be as iconic.

Man, that is a cool piece! The music really lends itself to the atmosphere in fantastic way. I really don't think we could ask for better music in these SoulsBorne games (yes, that's going to be my umbrella word for these titles), they completely nail it... but the comparison to classic FF seems a bit random.

Anyways, this topic is about as subjective as it gets I suppose. On par with FF 6 and 7 in what way? Narrowing it down would be nice, but then again, the guy can't even stick to one topic in his own OP lol.

No I still think the sound track to the earlier FF games is superior, both of these tracks are just generic dark phantasy to me; honestly using FF is hardly setting the bar as high as it will go, I would say Akira Yamaoka is the composer to beat.

There is no Tutorial.

Even Protoss has switched sides for Bloodborne. The music is indeed epic. I can feel that AAAAE getting closer and closer.

@ProtossRushX: The music of Bloodborne was one of the first things to catch my ears when the first trailer was revealed. Love the music. It doesn't get as much attention as the graphics, but it is beautifully done. Another reason to be playing this game when it's released.

I can't imagine From making the music much more prominent than in the Souls titles. And the music in Souls wasn't great to begin with.
That track Scottsfpan posted could well be the prologue track.

The maiden astrea song from Demon's is still the best in the series. Can't wait to hear this soundtrack.

Bloodborne with The witcher 3 soundtracks are F awesome and deserve some praise.

I heard the track before. Sound incredible and gets your heart pumping.

But what does the bloodborne ost have to do with FFVI or FFVII?

Music wise only one can beat it as of now... The witcher 3. Even trailers music was on spot , defined the era , the hero and the whole atmosphere. Music in video games needs way more appreciation. Blooborne along with The witcher 3s soundtracks i bet they could have been EASILY a hollywood movie OST for really expensive epic productions.

The asylum IS a tutorial, throughout the level there are DEVELOPER-WRITTEN MESSAGES THAT TELL YOU HOW TO PLAY THE GAME. A tutorial isn't just a contained environment where you are forced to perform actions exactly as they are shown. Stop being stupid, for once. Please.

OT: the music is incredible. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls had some great tracks (DaS2 not so much) but this is just on another level.

Dark Souls just drops a bunch of message which you will continue to see throughout the game.....

Besides with such Shitty gameplay I'm not surprised they didn't design a proper tutorial....

It's odd, but I honestly don't remember any music at all from Dark Souls (unlike, say, FF6, where I remember just about everything on the soundtrack).

I don't expect Bloodborne to be much different.

Must this game be overhyped in every aspect?
