Seems Mcshea didnt liked the game

Score is harsh but he makes alot of valid points and I am nowhere near McShea's biggest fan..
Regardless of how good or bad the game is, GS had already chosen Van0rd's review, and GS has said multiple times that review scores are always final.
If they don't change this back then I really don't see why should they still have the "10/10" reviews from GTA IV and SMG2, or the "its very mysoginistic and politically incorrect" 9/10 GTA V review.
So according to McShea, The Last of Us is twice as good as Bioshock Infinite

I am pretty sure it didn't officially change, it is merely a second opinion. Gamespot is going to now do multiple reviews for games to gauge other people's opinions.

I agree.. there is no reason to change the score maybe they can add some kind of "flashback" or after the credits type review that supplements the official one but yeah it messes up alot
@funkymonkey4710:
That would entirely kill the point of editor reviews...
So which score is the official score of the game? Imagine the SW arguments...."PS4 has 10 AAA games!"- "No-uh it only has 2, rest of them are not even A games!".

The first score is the official score, the others are all second or third or fourth opinions.
Alternatively, the 'official' score is the average of all the scores, this makes Bioshock what, a 6.5/10?
Wait, what? I thought the story was overrated, just praised by the gamers who never really played games with good stories, but giving it a 4/10? This is all I can say about this score:
Link because new GS doesn't want my images, apparently
I agree with some of the points he makes, but no way can this score be anything but bait, simply put.
Wether you like the game or not, its definetely not a 4/10 game. The pros overweight the cons too much.
Infinite was one of the best games I've ever played. Not that I play a crazy load of games, but it was really good and made the Bioshock series my 2nd favorite series ever.
How is this new review ordeal going to work with flops? First review counts? What if they both release at the same time? Oh my!
People mad because of how right he is (for once.) It's a 5 at most with the terrible combat and how damn linear it is.
It didn't change. It's a secondary review. Tom's review actually has the original one by Kevin at the end.
It's just a second take. When clicking on the reviews page, it stands as a 9 out of 10. McShea is a second opinion below it, but the 9 is the featured review. I imagine for the metagame we will count the first review since that's the one featured front and center.

Just in case people are still confused, Gamespot has introduced a "second opinion" feature for their reviews of particularly big name games. If you just go directly to the Bioshock Infinite page, the original review is still the official one. Tom's new review is linked at the bottom, as a second opinion. They're going to be doing this alot with big-name, heavily hyped games. You can expect the second opinion reviews to be very much in disagreement with the originals, because otherwise there really wouldn't be much of a point.
I don't think Tom realizes what the point of a scoring system is, If Infinite is a 4/10 then the majority of games are a 3/10 and no game will ever be able to score higher than a 7/10.
More importantly what's the point of a lower scoring secondary review or maybe a higher scoring secondary review?... Simple its a cop-out. That way users from both sides of the opinion spectrum will be voiced and feel valued in my opinion its takes away the value of a review site. This is to me sites nail in the coffin. I will stay on it for the forums but aside from that I see no use for this site.
If someone else on here had posted everything he wrote in the actual review, some people would disagree but not everyone would say he's outright wrong because he's not.
I think Tom just goes to show why this score system is broken. People rarely ever have a problem with what he actually says in his reviews just his scores which is stupid.
The 1up review scale is the best. A, B, C, D, and F. You don't need anything more than that. it doesn't matter if a game is a 4, 3 or a 2, or a 1. All those mean "Game not good, me reviewer no like" Its dumb for them to have to curb scores so that the scale doesn't seem as broken as it is.
Giving Bioshock an F, as in it failed to do the job it set out to do, might not be such a horrible message. But we have this really sensitive view on these numbers its ridiculous. Its scared reviewers into not being able to use scales correctly.
