So Dice has released their major fall update to try and fix the hunk of crap and frustration that has been BF4 Multiplayer
Anyone who was in the CTE may already be familiar with many of those changes, so thank you PCMR for helping Dice out
Core Changes:
- Player movement has been improved to more closely match that of Battlefield 3, while still maintaining the animation fidelity of Battlefield 4.
- The High Frequency Network Update has now been added to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is set to default. This makes the server update the client on what is happening with greater frequency, resulting in a smoother, more “correct” player experience.
- Reduced visualrecoil of guns. This includes all medium and close range sights (except iron sights, IRNV and FLIR).
- The BF4 ”netcode” has seen several tweaks and is now the fastest in the franchise’s history, counting client-to-client values. The delay is now lower than ever, and we’re also looking to improve hit detection.
*However the new "netcode" has caused them to change the weapon damage so almost all primary weapons need one extra bullet to kill someone
Also the UI has been streamlined giving you options to remove the clutter and icons on your screen
They've also introduced the triage system to show a timer for revives
There are also changes to grenades to decrease grenade spam
So has anyone tried out the patch, and does the game play better? Or are we all pretty much just giving DICE the finger at this point?
