Best racing game right now?

According to GameSpot, for best sim racing, that would be Gran Turismo 6.

From my personal experience, you can't go wrong with Forza or Gran Turismo of which I prefer Forza.

Forza 5 (AAAE). Of course it's not going to win on Sonyspot. lol!! If you poll journalist it will. Actually Forza 4 is probably better then everything on the list in terms of content.

I haven't played Forza 5.

But I will say Gran turismo 6 (Im loving it at the moment) followed closely by Forza 4.

I'm going with GT6. More tracks & cars + better physics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>better graphics of Flopza Microtransactions 5

I rarely play arcade games but I guess NFS is the best out of the list of arcade games you listed.

Forza 4. I would have said FM5 if no for the stripped down base content and questionable DLC model.

For me its either Gran Turismo 5 or Need for speed Hot Pursuit (2010)

I bought Burnout Paradise a couple of years ago and it's the only racing game i own, and the only one i need honestly.

I list here only latest game sequels. No matters how bad or good sequel is.

Sad state of affairs when Assetto Corsa and Project Cars early access are the best racers out.. They will be really short on content when they launch too.. Racers suck right now.. Let's just hope the next Forza and GT aren't gimped again

Burnout Paradise, no contest even if it was a step down from Burnout 3: Take Down. Don't think I ever played the one in between either.

Gagging for a next gen burn out and for Criterion to bring back traditional crash mode junctions without that tacky bouncy car shit.

Not listed but PGR4 would be the best racing game, closely followed by Motor storm apocalypse . Forza/GT are quasi simulators.

GT6 was pretty damn impressive, haven't played FM5 yet.

Nothing more rewarding than a 1000+ km, damage-free drive across Europe and pulling backwards into a dock on the first try for a perfect finish.

Last racing game I'd have to say I REALLY enjoyed was GT 5, mostly in spite of itself. I had a ton of fun playing with people from SW and on my friends list. GT 6, I thought was a goddamn ripoff. As far as features go it was pretty regressive. As flawed as GT5 was it had a lot of meat to it compared to GT6..I thought GT6's driving was better but the game as a whole feels bare bones. I was seriously disappointed by it.

The most fun I had in a racing game has to be Burnout Paradise. It's a shame Criterion really can't do anything for NFS, their games so far have been pretty weak. I just bought Rivals a few days ago but I haven't really gotten into it. I really don't liked being forced to play multiplayer. The little bit I played was somewhat decent though.

Grid 2? **** OFF.

Dirt 3. Such an amazing game.

Believe it or not physics wise Forza 5 is top dog at the moment. It still pales in comparison to PC Sims for the racing aspect but as a track day simulator it is the best. Of course this is dependant on the Thrustmaster TX being used along with the game.

PGR4 because it's actually fun.

Out of that list it is Sonic Racing Transformed. Mario Kart Wii is garbage. Mario Kart DS and Double Dash are much better.

Grid 1 by a long shot ( not played 2 yet ). Nothing comes close to instill the feeling of racing as grid does ( even though it leans to the arcade side of thinks )

It's the best Sim Racer on Consoles, no competition.

Sonic and All Stars Racing: Transformed is a really fun arcade style racer. It has tons of content, lots of things to do, and is a real challenge on Hard or Expert.

Forza 5.

Forza is the best series period. I prefer 5 over 4 but it was tough. The next best racers are Dirt and Sonic Racing Transformed. (Til a new Project Gotham or F-Zero is announced.
