YOUR FAVORITE?

Mine is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas is totally fake meanwhile STALKER Atmosphere is real and ALIVE.

I actually really enjoyed the atmosphere in Fallout 3. It was eerily beautiful.

Damn. I really need to play this game.

I'd have to say it's a toss up between Warcraft 3, Skyrim, Mass Effect 1, STALKER CoP, TLOU and The Witcher series.

For it's time, Oblivion was king. I got lost in in for months.

Can Destiny count?

Zork. The atmosphere was beautiful. And the graphics are still beyond even today's most graphically intense games. You know why? Because it was powered by Imagination. /s

Play Morrowind...and then roll your eyes in disgust at Oblivion

Still holds up to this day.

I love the atmosphere of Red Dead Redemption and Dark Souls 2. It's a tough question because atmosphere can relate to a number of things.

I have, but I came to it after Oblivion, which was a graphical powerhouse for its time. It make me ill watching it. Now that I have a good pc, I have to download a hiigh texture pack for Morrowind, if they exist.

That's right, The Bad boy that started it all. CE had the best atmosphere game I play in my life when Xbox was still new to the gaming world and it still holds well to this day.

Can't wait to relive this Legendary atmosphere game on Xbox One this November.

Doom 3.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Also known as the best RPG ever created.

Bioshock is the only right answer. Metroid Prime is second.

STALKER and Metro both to atmosphere beautifully. STALKER feels even grittier because of the freedom of movement and overwhelming landscape. But Metro is a better game regardless.

I think Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, and the AC series have excellent atmosphere, totally pulls you in to the game's world.

I loved those windy effects in the dark areas, they were fucking awesome. The sound coupled with the blurry movement almost made it feel like real wind on my face :o

For sure. The forests looked great. I always wondered if Alan had a flashlight in his pocket, or that he was just happy to see me!
