Now, don't get me wrong fellow hermits, but this is just full of... fail? :-D

I mean, it does look cool, it MIGHT be cool to use with Steam Machine, but COME ON :-D

Edit, it just won't show the embedded video, (it displayed in editor for me, but not in the post) here's the direct link to the video.

Hilarious shit.

Blank space?

I'm guessing there is meant to be a video or picture there?

Probably Glitchspot

Edit: wow that's extreme, haha the Couchmaster. Bit of a fail, but I guess for the small minority that plug their pc into their living room TV AND somehow do NOT have a controller to go with it; it would be perfect.

Should just invest in a gamepad though :P

Yeah, glitchspot.

If it won't show the embedded video, (it displayed in editor for me, but not in the post) here's the direct link.

It's just a platform to stack your mouse/kb. Watch hermits try to pretend like it's an epic fail. I like it. But I use a logitech gamepad for my pc games anyway so not a fan of m/kb.

A small bucket pops out from underneath. If you're a female, you're out of luck. lol!!

Having to set that contraption up every time you want to play a game is just sad. It's easier to just grab a game controller, sit on the couch and play.

#22 Posted by Lucianu (9288 posts) -

That's not evolution. It's just one of many choices.

It's a item for enthusiasts. Just because you don't have the money or the space or the interest to set up such a simple thing, doesn't mean that it's 'sad'.

It just means that it's not for you.

It might be for enthusiast. I'm a PC gamer too, but the "couchmaster" looks just ridiculous :-D

I do more or less the same, but with pillows and an armrest. I have a gamepad, but i only use it for driving games.

However i am pulling my PC off my tv. Getting a nice new monitor soon so its back to the desk. Couch gaming does a number on my back after an hour so its time i changed it up.

Alot of games dont work well with a pad, and for most online games you would severely handicap yourself using one.

The required KB/M seems to be the biggest hurdle keeping PC gaming out of the living room. And while this looks like the best solution yet, it still looks incredibly cumbersome and inconvenient.

It's sad and it's not for me. I do have the money and the space, but no interest in it what so ever. I can't see PC gamers wasting their money on that crap. It's definitely for hardcore PC who must have ever gadget and contraption made for PC gaming.

#30 Posted by SEANMCAD (5464 posts) -

products for good and simple solutions for having the PC in the living room have existed for more than a decade.

For whatever reason I will never understand consumers simply dont want a computer in the living room.

I know mine is the in living room

#31 Posted by AmazonTreeBoa (16481 posts) -

I actually like that. Not really sure where to store something like that when not in use, but it does look like something I would use.

Or just get a controller?

But really anything is better than being a desktop peasant

#34 Edited by Arthas045 (5057 posts) -

I am really surprised this wasn't thought of sooner.

#35 Posted by NFJSupreme (5031 posts) -

yet another option PC has. PC = play however you want to play. Console = play how sony, MS, and nintendo wants you to play.

Or just get a controller?

What if he wants to play competitive or serious games?

Not everyone is just in it for 4 hour Interactive-Films. Infact LoL alone has more concurrent than xbl or psn.
