I was wondering if it was spreading across Platinum.
Too bad this won't be enough to convince many people though. :(

Too bad the previous director and creator of Bayonetta, Kamiya, isn't directing Bayonetta 2 (I know he's helping with supervising, not nearly the same thing) or it would have been a day one buy like his Wonderful 101.
I'll pick it up on the cheap unless the select reviewers I trust confirm it's amazing...which isn't likely. I think it will be closer to MG: Rising, fun but not worth $60.
if people wanna play it, get a Wii U, or set up a Kickstart to raise millions to make a Bayonetta game for next gen systems, get something like 1 million people to pay $60 in advance in exchange they get a game mailed to them when the game is finished, that might get their attention
its a problem. the original game released on two different platforms to the one the sequel is releasing on.
fans of the original are understandably upset, but on the flip-side the alternative was no sequel to the game.

yeah, I'd rather have to get a Wii U to play a sequel than have no sequel get made
hell, I got a Wii U and playing Bayonetta 2 definitely weighed in on that decision with me, I loved the first game
It will sell about 2 copies on the Wiiu. Good luck with that.
Without Nintendo they would sell zero, and Bayonetta 2 would not exist.
Those people can get a Wii U or stfu.
Or they can sit back and watch it sell less than a million? Guess we'll see. I have a WiiU and I'm not buying it.
They can sit back and miss the game, I guess. Their loss...
Some will buy the system for the game. I'm guessing total sales will be under a million though. That would require 1 out of 4 to buy it.
Wiki says the first game sold just over 1 million "The game has sold 1.35 million units worldwide by March 31, 2010." and that's on 2 systems with massive install bases at the time.
When will people realize and understand that if it weren't for Nintendo Bayonetta 2 would not have even existed.
So just buy a Wii U or STFU.

Bayonetta 2 is a exclusive game to the WiiU.
You'd think with all of these "fans" port begging they'd go and buy a WiiU because it has Bayonetta 2.
Things like this are what sell systems.

Why are going on about sales figures? Just enjoy the games and let the bean counters worry about the rest.

Hey now! Settle down :P Just fanning some amber's of SW's is all :P
At this point I'm not getting my hopes up for a port to PS3/4. I wont beg. It doesnt change the fact the game will fail hard comercially and we'll never see another Bayonetta again...
C'mon the 1st Bayonetta sold more than 1 million units. And it sold more on the PS3 even with all the bad publicity about its version. It was reason enough for Sega to produce a Bayonetta 2 for all consoles and, if this time around the PS3 version was actually good, I'm sure it would sell really well.
I blame all this sh*t on Sega. I'm kinda sad I'll never be able to play Bayo 2 though, as I'm not minimaly interested in the WiiU
:'(

Knuckle head.

even if they make it multiplat it will sell the most on wiiU...just like rayman legends.
You cant compare either audiences. Most Nintendo fans/WiiU fans are platformer lovers. Most Hack'n'Slash gamers are on the PS/Xbox, mostly PS.
Rayman Legends never interested me (though I aknowledge its a great game) but I would buy Bayo 2 for the PS3 in a heart beat
I decided to get a Wii U as soon as Bayonetta 2 was announced and to be completely honest it has more games on it already that make the purchase worth while to me. I am primarily a PC gamer so my consoles don't have to have tons of games because my PC always will.
Those people can get a Wii U or stfu.

The first game was on PS3/360, do they really think people are going to buy a Wii U just to play one game?
I like the 1st Bayonetta and will like to see the part 2 comes out for PS3, 4 or 360, but not Great Enough" to go out and buy a system for this one game only. I guess I'll watch the youtube and pretend that I played the game when it comes out. lol
If lemz and cows cared that much they should had bought the 1st game in the first place...
Cows cared but their version was butchered. I only bought the game after a price drop because of the sh*t Sega did to the PS3 version of the game. The 360 was the better version and the PS3 still sold better than it. What does that tell you?

All i know is gamers didnt care enough about the series until 2nd game went WiiU exclusive...

Maybe the ones who are caring about it going to WiiU are part of those 1.3 million sales that the original Bayonetta got?
@aroxx_ab: Another problem gamers are forgetting is that Nintendo funded the project and is co-publishing the game with it. So it's hard for a game to be ported to another console if Nintendo only paid for a time exclusive deal

BS
If anyone has played the first Bayonetta, its a crap game, in and out..
A Jpop anime half naked girl dancing and attacking with her hair.
Look at the youtube gameplay and scenes....
At one point, she kills someone with hair coming out of 'between her legs'.
Bad environment, story, dialogue, design, enemies, Jpop crap music, character..
And the freaking dance sessions. Cringe.
(unless your heavy into anime and alike)

This. Just get a WiiU if you want to play it. It'll be in 1080p at 60fps supposedly so don't worry upcoming resolution fanatics.
One of the main reasons i'm getting a WiiU, sorry "fans" but if you really want to play Bayonetta 2, then get a WiiU, period. Thanks to Nintendo we are getting the sequel to the best action game from last gen so people should be grateful.
bayonetta is very niche and won't sell a lot. It would have been canceled if not for Nintendo. Even it were possible for Sony or MS to woe Platinum for a port they wouldn't since there is not much to gain financially in doing so.
Companies fight over games like Monster Hunter
It was an alright game. The sequel can stay on the wiiu. Even if I still had my Wii u I wouldn't be buying this for 60 bucks. The controller is awful.
Normally I don't like exclusivity because fans don't get to play games (like in this case), but Nintendo DID fund the game. They're the reason Bayonetta 2 is gonna see the light of day.
If you're a fan of the series then be thankful Nintendo stepped in, and maybe, just maybe, save up for a Wii U

Nintendo should release the first game with the 2nd game if they were smart.
Port begging?
Aren't they over it now?
I made my peace with it a long time ago. Platinum Games made their decision and i'm ok with that now.
It's not a big enough deal of a game for me to buy a Wii U.

Well, considering Kamiya (and for that matter, other folks at Platinum as this thread mentions) still got those tweets showing his frustration by saying he'll block those "idiots", I'd say it's still going on.
"It's been over a year since we announced. We heard you. We get it. We are just happy that we get to make Bayonetta 2 for the patient fans" Really? What fans are there on a Nintendo system? Last time a nintendo system seen a title like bayo 2 its been like what, half a decade or more? there's no fans of the game on wiiu compared to all the fans on ps3/360. DO i care? No. I thought the first title was aimed at 13y old boys and this one is exactly the same.
