On PC, yeah, I think so. It's beautiful.

That would mean you're only taking in to account the console versions. On PC it looks far better than all of the games you've mentioned. And that makes it a graphics king, albeit subjective. Ryse is technically superior, perhaps, but I would argue that they didn't use the engine very well in that game.

I forgot the PC! Assuming it looks as good, or even better than the console version at 1080p, then i believe its the best looking game available now.

The console version looks terrible compared the PC version, the textures are super low res, and then obviously the fps+900p. You need a beefy gpu to handle ultra in Unity, but it certainly utilizes the hardware, it looks amazing.

My favorite feature they added has got to be PCSS shadows, shadows get blurrier/more diffused the further they are from the object casting the shadow, which adds a lot of realism since that's how real shadows work (always bothers me when shadows are super sharp and mimic the caster's shape exactly.

I can only comment on PS4 games (the only platform i played this year), though. I'm particulary impressed with GTA5! Sure, it's a last gen game, but it was so impressive for 360/PS3 standards, that the only improvements it needed to be up to current gen standards were higher res, stable framerate and better textures. Done :)

Yep, AC Unity is stunning, despite some low detail LODs and NPC pop ins. The baked GI + PBR + pretty architecture just does it for me.

Definitely one of the best looking games of 2014 but would I say it's the best, not quite sure. Far Cry looks amazing, so does GTA. You need to put some more choices in your poll cause I can't pick either one of your choices.

AC Unity is hands down my graphics king for 2014. I haven't seen the console versions so I can't judge how it looks there against other console games. But AC Unity on PC is the first "next gen" looking game to me.

AC unity looks outstanding on consoles but still not the king.

Game requires you have a smart phone to achieve 100%.

Lighting effects are impressive but the texture quality is bad and there are too many graphical bugs and performance problems. Character models in-game (not in cutscenes) look terrible. Personally I think DA:I looks better.

It also looks like shit when the weather's overcast during the daytime. There's this gross blue tint that's even more obnoxious than Battlefield 3.
