If you will be getting the game, what service will you buy it from? I'm personally still debating because I support GOG.com, but most of my games and friends are on Steam.

Ill be getting it from where it is cheapest. That is if I can activate it on Steam - If not ill be getting it on Steam.

retail. But between GOG and Steam I would pikck GOG...no DRM, easier to launch and will have more goodies that Steam version will lack

Need steam for bragging rights and to keep track of how many hundreds of hours I log in to this game.

GOG.com hands down. DRM Free always wins in my book and can be a great potential example for more DRM free games to follow

I don't get how GOG can claim fair worldwide prices and then ask 59.99 euro for The Witcher 3.

So not from there

Most likely Steam but it will all come down to price

I want to own the game, getting it on retail disc for Ps4...

#10 Posted by Tokeism (2323 posts) -

Neither, I'm going to buy it retail so I can get the collector's edition

#11 Posted by blackace (20249 posts) -

Neither of them. I have it pre-ordered for the PS4 right now. I'm not wasting money on the collector edition this time. I still have the collectors edition for the Witcher 2. Thinking about selling it now, as it's still sealed. I bought a used copy online for dirt cheap.

already pre-ordered for my ps4

Steam. I prefer to have everything in one place, and it keeps track of time.

If you cant activate it you are still getting it on steam? Dont you want to play it?

#15 Posted by Daious (1114 posts) -

Probably GOG because they give you additional discounts for each witcher game you own.

steam I already have TW1&2 bought on steam so i'm getting TW3 for 47.99

I already answered that in the post you quoted.

GOG.com.

#19 Posted by PannicAtack (21013 posts) -

Gog. It comes with extra stuff.

Though Steam did have codes where you could redeem the GOG copies. I dunno if they're doing it that this time.

Well, don't matter. I'm not preordering.

Probably the steam version (not necessarily from steam) since for the last 2 games GOG will give you a free copy with your steam key

#21 Posted by chessmaster1989 (29100 posts) -

Not getting it, but if I did it would be on Steam

#22 Posted by speedfreak48t5p (6918 posts) -

Neither.

Retail disc for Xbox One.

#24 Posted by AmazonAngry (945 posts) -

Not getting it at all. Too mediocre for my tastes.

#25 Posted by wiifan001 (18372 posts) -

Steam, I get everything from humblebundle or steam

Go back to watching the movies Sony makes for you.

Retail collector's edition master race just like the Witcher 2 and 1(only got the standard version of that)

#28 Posted by Icarian (1474 posts) -

GOG of course. All the money goes to CDProjekt, there's no one taking cuts.

#29 Posted by lawlessx (46542 posts) -

GoG.com to support CDprojekt red.

Grabbing it for the PS4. My PC would run it as a slideshow.

If I end up enjoying my playthrough (Which I've only started Chapter 2) I'll get it off of Steam (Since there is a chance of getting a GoG copy as well)

Whichever I can get it the cheapest

#34 Posted by BPoole96 (22784 posts) -

GOG will likely allow you to access a DRM-Free version of TW3 is you put in the Steam product key. I just bought it on Steam so it's with the rest of my library.

#35 Posted by LegatoSkyheart (24875 posts) -

getting a Steam copy also means getting a GOG copy.

I;m sorry man.

Overpriced. Pc gamers are attempting to give a free pass (like massive hypocrites).

Steam sale. CDP yet to make 90 metacritic game. And by and large, talk much bloated shite.

#38 Posted by sibu_xgamer (330 posts) -

GOG, this isn't even a contest. No DRM >>>{infinite} DRM

#39 Posted by coasterguy65 (5873 posts) -

On my PS4, but at some point down the road I am sure I will buy it on Steam, just like the first two games.

#40 Posted by soulitane (13429 posts) -

GoG, when it drops in price by a lot.

#41 Posted by tonitorsi (8296 posts) -

Steam solely for the full controller support and general ease of access.

Or Quad if Projekt Red manages to get it running on High settings ala Watchdogs.

#42 Edited by silversix_ (14058 posts) -

Probably on steam. One thing for sure is that im getting on pc unless ps4 version is on high/1080p which probably won't happen.

#43 Posted by faizan_faizan (7846 posts) -

Steam. I prefer to have everything in one place, and it keeps track of time.

Same.

#44 Posted by remiks00 (1702 posts) -

Probably the GoG version. Comes with lots of extras.

#45 Posted by 22Toothpicks (11279 posts) -

i know it's not the optimal choice but i will be buying it on ps4.

#46 Posted by blangenakker (2220 posts) -

GoG version. It's cheaper for me because I have the other games.

#47 Posted by Basinboy (11050 posts) -

GOG

DRM free FTW

#48 Posted by commonfate (12252 posts) -

Steam after a price drop.
