Got the Switch and Zelda preordered.
Just need to get a case and the pro controller ? to go with it.

I'm tempted, but probably not... Scorpio is the priority for me this year.
I'm still debating whether to get the Scorpio or build a PC. Hard decisions.
lol
Had it pre ordered. Ran into low funds. Had to cancel. Will look for a cheap WiiU when it comes out in order to play Zelda.
Nope. Nothing against it but its hardware is too shitty for me at the price and I need more than Zelda to make the plunge. I may get it in the future after major pricecuts and more games release.
Price cut ain't happening buddy. Keep waiting.
@Bread_or_Decide: I am prepared to wait as long as it takes. My PS4 Pro and PC have more than enough games to keep me occupied so I'm not in a hurry.

PS4 Pro....so you're one of THOSE people....
nope after zelda whats there to play
Throw it in the dock, wait and play something else on your PC/PS4/Xbox.
No, I'm a gamer I demand a hundred games to play!! So I can then complain about my backlog and having no time to finish any games...but wanting more games than I can play! I accept nothing less than too much!

After I finish Zelda I'm going straight to Horizon, Nioh, Gravity Rush 2 and Nier. MK8 and ARMS should have come out by then, I'm seriously planning on getting a Switch for my GF too :)

What a novel idea! The PS4 is ripe with releases, enough to keep me busy in between switch games as well. I'm still playing games I bought YEARS ago.
Every console launch, same complaints, same excuses, same blah blah blah. Gamers are truly a predictable bunch. Launch without zelda, there's nothing, launch with zelda, there's nothing ELSE. Gaming...truly the worst fanbase of any hobby.
@Bread_or_Decide: What's that supposed to mean?
It means you're a PS4 Pro owner. Ya know, one of THOSE people who owns a PS4 Pro.
@Bread_or_Decide: ? How is that relevant in my decision to get a Switch or not?
Nothing, I'm just teasin ya. It's all good.
Nope. Not at launch.
It's a wait and see approach. Maybe this holiday, I'm hoping Nintendo meets demand.
@superbuuman: I'm definitely not going to wait to play this one. I'll double dip if I think the game is good enough. The Wii U version will keep me occupied until I get a Switch during the holidays.

Ah I see...I was assuming you'd be getting Switchy at launch. :P
im waiting till the third party games come out. if they don't no switch for me. i will never make the same mistake i did with the wii u
I will be picking mine up at midnight from best buy along with breathe of the wild special edition and the zelda amibo
I believe the people waiting for the "IT" game will be sorely disappointed when they can't find one by the time their "IT" game hits.
Seriously considered it as I came into some money just at the right time and no: There are 6 games one which I could want. Thats pretty damn poor. Even looking into the future, its a catastrophe. A remake of Mario Kart and a remake of splatoon? No thankyou.
Ill get it when a new real Metroid game comes out. Right now Zelda is the only game that looks good at launch. Hopefully by then other new (good) IPs will be exclusive to the Switch.

Splatoon 2 is a sequel not a remake.
Yes.
Zelda, Bomberman and Mario Kart - between March and April.
Already more playable than PS4 3 years in as far as im concerned.
@DocSanchez: Neither of them are remakes. One of them is a Deluxe version, the other the full fledged sequel to one of the freshest games of the last decade.
Yes, you are right. I should not have used the word remake. I fully apologise.
One is just a straight port and the other is an incredibly lazy sequel. Should not have used the word remake.
Kind of learned my lesson with buying consoles on launch day. I'm interested in the Switch, but not that interested in that I'll be willing to pick it up on launch day. Rather wait on E3 and see what the future lies ahead for the big 3...

Oh, you've played it.
Benefits of buying a console at launch:
1. You will purchase it at the most expensive it will ever be.
2. You get to enjoy the one or two games for a long while before a library begins to develop.
Nah.
Yeah, I normally do not buy consoles at launch for these reasons. On rare occasion I do and the switch to me feels a little special, worth taking the leap. It's rare for a console to launch with a game as high quality as Zelda.

I think part of the reason why I ended up enjoying the Wii U more than most people give it credit for here, is because I didn't end up buying it until several years later after it actually had a LIBRARY of games ready to play. I never experienced such remorse of having a lack of games and I've still yet to play quite a bit of its most praised titles. Had I bought the Wii U at launch, I would not be surprised my opinion would have been more dull towards the console.
As much as I want to play Zelda, and it certainly had been among my most hyped game this year along with Nio and NieR, I still have the option to play it on the Wii U. Sure many will say it's inferior but honestly technical prowess has never been the draw for Nintendo and certainly is not the draw for why I find them good at making these games in the first place.
