I was wondering are there any awesome future FPS games that takes place in future and has some future battle scenes against machines or something like that? Deus Ex is less fps game and Call of Duty was not that interesting. Can be Third persion shooter too.

Yeah Titanfall just came out but its just multiplayer game. Are there any single-player and multiplayer future-scifi-fps games? Please no Mass Effect, Deus Ex or Call of Duty.

Terminator Salvation was okay. Are there more battle future fps game?

Last good multiplayer future FPS game was Battlefield 2142

One of the red faction games were really good

Cyberpunk 2077 looks like its going to be good

Im keeping my eyes on Destiny. It's from Bungie so it obviously has a chance to be good.

Star Trek Elite Force and its sequel were pretty good.

Doom, Half Life, Halo, Battlefront, and soon Evolve, Destiny, No Man's Sky, etc...

Dead Space is third Person but still worth a shot. Remember Me is also another sci fi game.
I'd mention Quake 4 and Hard Reset too.

For most recent. just wait for new wolfenstien

#12 Posted by Ghost120x (3803 posts) -

Salvation OKAY!? That game was shit I only rented for the easy 1000/1000 and I couldn't even do that because the game was so boring.

Does dues ex count?

Not all that many machines to fight but you're looking for Killzone 3, my friend ;)

#14 Posted by Salt_The_Fries (8567 posts) -

If you mean ones with epic battles against giant mechs, from contemporary games - probably not. You had bit of that in Crysis 2 but the game was a let-down IMO.

Anyhow, for futuristic FPS games you could try out Prey, Singularity or Syndicate.

yeah, loads of FPS have a future, sci fi setting

Doom, UT, Tribes, Half life, Quake, Titanfall, Killzone, Halo, ...

For most recent. just wait for new wolfenstien

No, it's set in the 60s

#16 Posted by SteXmaN (433 posts) -

You said FPS but you included Terminator Salvation ,well xD

If you enjoyed Salvation (i really don't know how xD ) i highly recommend Binary Domain,it is a cool game i think you will like it. (I have to replay it again xD)

And like Daious said,Red Faction Guerrilla.

I got it in the latest Humble Bundle, looks interesting

True, it's got a lot of sci fi aspects, though it will also have a lot of stuff pointing to it being the 60s and an alternate reality where the Germans won WW2.

It's a cool idea. I think that worked really well for Resistance and previous Wolfenstein games, which was also set in the past but had a sci fi setting. And it could work for the Order too.

Not FPS, but Mass Effect.

#20 Posted by foxhound_fox (88068 posts) -

Halo: Reach and Halo: ODST are stupendous games.

Metro 2033 and Last Light

#22 Edited by Jankarcop (9289 posts) -

Isn't cyberpunk supposed to be first person? i might be mistaken.

Doom4 also.

#23 Posted by Zidaneski (8454 posts) -

Vanquish comes to mind since the enemies (robots) were very cool to fight, but an FPS where you shoot mostly robots I can't think of.

#24 Posted by Grey_Eyed_Elf (3785 posts) -

If you like Terminator Salvation then you will love Binary Domain and Spec Ops: The Line.

Destiny also looks like it could be amazing.

#25 Posted by jg4xchamp (47910 posts) -

Binary Domain

That game has no business being as good as it is. Big Bo THE GOAT

#26 Edited by Jag85 (4455 posts) -

FPS:

  • Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Titanfall

TPS:

  • Vanquish
  • Binary Domain
  • Gunslinger Stratos

Hard Reset

Hard Reset was the first game to come to my mind too. Great game and fits the bill perfectly.

#30 Posted by sukraj (22608 posts) -

Destiny

Wolfenstein The New Order

#31 Posted by PrincessGomez92 (3543 posts) -

Scourge: Outbreak is a masterpiece. And it's obviously a FPS.

#32 Posted by musicalmac (22972 posts) -

Blood Dragon. That's the best, more recent game I can think of that's full of sci-fi goodness. Really awesome value.

#33 Posted by FoxbatAlpha (6798 posts) -

Oh, just off the top of my head..................Halo 5 and Halo 2 HD.

#34 Posted by YearoftheSnake5 (7331 posts) -

Well, I was going to suggest Deus Ex. Since that's a no-go for you, there's Crysis 1 & Warhead. About half way through the game, you fight a plenty of machines. Not sure if that's your angle, though.

#35 Edited by adamosmaki (9514 posts) -

red faction guerilla is quite good.

#36 Edited by sts106mat (19466 posts) -

i liked "warhammer" fire warrior on the PS2 back in the day.

Halo is great even more so if you read the backstory and lore etc.

also dont forget fallout 3 or NV.. super sci-fi elements, but alternate reality rather than future.

Metro Last Light (althought it's post-apocalypse), Crysis 2, Crysis 3.

That's because they're casuals who want shooters with no depth to their gameplay.

I like how dead quake 2 online is right now screenshot taken 1 minute ago.

Because it's mention in the thread.... but ya any fps with health regeneration and no platforming=casual shitty sci-fi shooter.

Why? Because online shooters started with games like quake and duke nukem which were based on platforming and shooting skills.

Fps genre=dead untill they bring back platforming and health packs which require more skill also.
