Anyone play Code Vein?

I know it only got a 6 here, but I was pretty excited about it. Worth a purchase at full retail, or should I wait for a price drop?

I downloaded the demo on the Xbox One but haven’t got around to trying it yet, too busy playing Iceborne. I was interested in it but a bit disappointed to see it get a 6 here. Still I’ll try the demo at least and see what I think of that first.

One way or another i'll pick this up, it looked somewhat different from the typical Souls clones. And I liked the art direction. The Backlog is so large at the moment even picking it up with stellar reviews would be a waste of money.

I was interested, but it was never something I was going to buy at launch. I always wait for price drops on games I'm not sure about to reduce financial risk. I'd recommend that, but you do you.

And even if I did buy it, I don't think I would be much help to you at this stage. I'd probably be stuck battling my nemesis - the character creation - for about a week.

haha, nice...I'd just heard that the combat got repetitive. Then again, the combat in Mad Max got repetitive, and I loved that game, soooo...

Getting it maybe next month.

I totally forgot Code Vein is already out and I do plan to purchase the game myself. It looks good from what I seen so far and I never take GS reviews that seriously and just like every reviewers, they are nothing but opinions, but at the same time, I don't trust gaming site reviews, only independent reviewers who aren't tied down to a contract.

Nearly all games with this graphic style have scores in the 65-75 range, Western reviewers don't like the look and mark it down and of course, there are sites that mark it down as click-bait like the reviewer who gave it a 6/10 for example.

If I use reviews its either Metacritic or gameranking, I could care less about individual.

It sitting at a 7 but sense its a souls game I bought it. Looks amazing so far but time will tell.

I'll wait for it to hit 30 bucks, then maybe pick it up. Looked okay, but my current queue is full.

Not that I was really looking forward to CV but I'd like to say any scores for non marketed JRPGs have 0 value of credibility.

You'd honestly have to play for yourself to find out if you like any non Square or From Software JRPG because most reviews will just blindly spam a 6 or 7 without batting an eye.
