I just can't get myself to purchase the XB1 knowing there will eventually be a slim version down the road.
Usually the size of a console doesn't bother me, but to me the XB1 was made unnecessarily big, especially when compared to the PS4. Then you add the fact that it still requires an external power brick. Are the engineers at Microsoft incompetent, or is Sony's engineers that much better?
The XB1 design just seems lazy to me. They were obviously told to avoid another RROD issue, so they just decided to make a big ass box with lots of venting, instead of making something more efficient like the PS4 design. Its been a little over a year and the vast majority of PS4's are still doing just fine, so what is Microsoft's excuse for the poor/lazy design?
