Anyone else think that both inFamous: Second Son and Titanfall look good and hope both of them do well?

#2 Edited by kinectthedots (1581 posts) -

I do and I do.

Titanfall has always looked fun and recently Infamous Second Son has been revealed to look like a juggernaut.

Sales for both are already dizzying even tho Infamous only has a fraction of the marketing that Titanfall has. Different games different audiences but both hopefully deliver what fans are looking for.

#3 Posted by Xaero_Gravity (8694 posts) -

Absolutely. As far as I'm concerned, the more great games, the better.

#4 Posted by blackace (19998 posts) -

I'm getting both games, so yes. Both games look great to me. I've already played the Titanfall beta, so I know it plays good. I'm hoping it's the same with Infamous SS as well.

#5 Posted by chessmaster1989 (29070 posts) -

Am hoping Infamous does well, might get it if it gets good reviews. Didn't particularly like the Titanfall beta so I won't be getting it, so don't care much how it does.

#6 Posted by DrRockso87 (2504 posts) -

How is the beta? I still haven't tried it since I don't own an Xbox One and still haven't made an account for Origin yet (wish the beta would just come to 360 so I could try it).

Some of my friends are going ape over this game and while at first I wasn't really interested (still not a day 1 for me), it looks more and more interesting as I see. Plus, friends to play with.

#7 Posted by shawn30 (4361 posts) -

I do. I may not be interested in Infamous, but a shitton of people worked their ass off to make it, same as Titanfall. Hopefully both are great games.

#8 Posted by PrincessGomez92 (3348 posts) -

Well, I don't want things to do badly.

#9 Posted by Sweenix (5396 posts) -

Why would anyone want a game to fail? it's just stupid, so many people's jobs depend on it's success.

#10 Edited by yokofox33 (29204 posts) -

I never really want to see a game fail. I hope both games do well honestly. I plan on getting both games, just I'm probably gonna wait a little bit for Titanfall.

#11 Edited by Spartan070 (16324 posts) -

They both will simply because they are looking to be the best game available for each console that isn't on the other console.

Also they both look very good so far.

#12 Posted by lamprey263 (22666 posts) -

I hope Titanfall does well just as a big "fuck you!" to Activision, but COD Whatever that will release this year will probably outsell lifetime sales of the entire life of the Titanfall franchise by itself.

#13 Edited by speedfreak48t5p (6567 posts) -

No, I hope they both fail miserably because I'm a terrible person. :P

#14 Posted by k2theswiss (16598 posts) -

you must be a pretty sad "gamer" if you ever wish a game to fail beyond your fanboy shield

#15 Edited by UnbiasedPoster (675 posts) -

I hope they both sell really well.

I hope Titanfall gets below a 9 here for the Lolz.

Besides that, no real interest in either as games.

*scoffs* Obviously.

Well, I'm a gamer, not a fanboy, so yes. I always enjoy when the industry releases top notch titles. Also, as someone who owns both the PS4 and the Xbox One, I want games to play on both. Titanfall and inFamous will be just that.

#18 Posted by narutosup (1571 posts) -

I want Titanfall to fail because it's another FPS. How many FPS do we need?

#19 Posted by foxhound_fox (87334 posts) -

I hope Titanfall does well critically and commercially and inFamous does well commercially but flops critically, just to shut cows up.

They hype it like it's the second-coming, AAAA GOTG and yet it's predecessor scored a 7.5/10

#20 Posted by cainetao11 (16473 posts) -

Absolutely Dr!! Why wouldn't a gamer want more good games? If you don't own both of those consoles, maybe that would make you want to. I know I want a PS4 and already have an X1. Games, not console manufacturers

#21 Posted by Lulu_Lulu (9739 posts) -

Titanfall is published by EA who had no reason not to go Multiplatform but decided to stick to Microsoft. It might end up being good but I hope it burns in hell.

As for Infamouse, if Radical didn't Shut down I wouldve said it can burn in hell too because Prototype wouldve mopped the floor with its face, so..... Why not...

#22 Edited by CrashNBurn281 (391 posts) -

I hope they both do well. They both look fun, just not sure I would buy either. I have enough computer games I need to finish already, I do not need to add Titanfall on top of it.

#23 Edited by Speak_Low (844 posts) -

Yes because I don't want a Sheep saying the PS4 and X1 have no games or that the sales for these two new consoles will hit a sticking point soon. They're sure one to talk

#24 Posted by lostrib (33041 posts) -

Well I plan to get titanfall, and since it's all online I would like it to sell well. Infamous, i don't really care but it's not going to upset me if it sells a lot or sells a little

#25 Posted by eNT1TY (988 posts) -

I want them both to succeed as well. What i do not want is having 20 me too arena mech shooters "inspired" by titanfall if it is indeed the runaway success it could potentially be; but, deep down inside i think that success will rekindle interest in a new 2142 (best bf game no lie) since mech shooters will be mainstream then (mechs were just a small but highly flaunted part of what made 2142 great.) New virtual on would rock too. I want infamous to do well enough to keep sucker punch healthy despite meaning more infamous. Ideally, sucker punch would be burnt out with the franchise after makin 3 back to back games and consider some new ip.

Titanfall = yes since it is an online game and community size is important.

Infamous = indifferent. Single player game and I just want it to be entertaining.

I am getting both. Titanfall digitally on launch day and Infamous used when I can find one below $40.

As long as EA makes another loss next quarter I don't care what happens.

I played the beta on X1 and it really was awesome. I'm usually not too much into straight up shooters but Titanfall just does a lot of things differently. It has great maps designed for all sorts of traversal, good game modes that suit the universe, and great responsive shooter gameplay that merges twitch shooting(like cod) with tactical drawn out combat (like halo)

Overall it was just a positive experience, it's one of those games where cool things are almost constantly happening.

As for the OP's question, I am also hyping both. I wasn't a huge fan of the past infamous games but I'm down for an open world story experience, it also gives me a reason to play my PS4 :P

#29 Posted by BattleSpectre (5953 posts) -

I kinda hope one of them fails so I don't go bust this month, hehe. Hey don't judge me.

#30 Edited by R3FURBISHED (10180 posts) -

I'm absolutely buying both - favorite PS series and a game where the beta was absolutely stupendous.

#31 Posted by Minishdriveby (10128 posts) -

Titanfall is going to do well no matter what. inFamous I'm sure will do okay for a console starved of amazing experiences.

#32 Edited by juarbles (801 posts) -

As a real gamer I'm always interested in real games doing well. Infamous is no doubt a straight up real game, Titanfall not do much because it is mostly a COD clone aimed at noobs and tweens but some real gamers can get a kick at owning noobs here and there without much effort like I did on the beta. I hope Titanfall fails on the Xbone though because the anti-gaming machine and the xboners deserve to disappear from gaming.

#33 Posted by jdc6305 (3789 posts) -

I could care less about either game.

#34 Edited by Shewgenja (8301 posts) -

I hope both do well. I just hope that the XBone version of Titanfall doesn't do well. I have no animosity towards the developer or the game itself and wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them. On the contrary, I think the XBone version doing poorly will be better for them in the long run because their publisher will be more willing to let them put their games on the PS4 in the future. This means more business for them.

#35 Posted by Harisemo (4133 posts) -

I want every game to do well

#36 Posted by uninspiredcup (7557 posts) -

One can only hope Titanfall will do poorer than expected.

So the same could be said for all the PS4 publishers that only put there games on the PS4. Sony had there chance to have Titanfall on the PS4, they didn't have the servers to handle Titanfall, MS did.

There really are some pathetic people here.

PS4 is a games console, not a TV remote with gaming functionality.

Sure, I'll be getting both.

But Titanfall first :P

#41 Posted by ButDuuude (410 posts) -

As a gamer I want both to do well, but then system wars wouldn't be as funny.

#42 Posted by super600 (30110 posts) -

I hope both games do well to and review well to.

Couldn't give 2 shits about titanfall but I hope second son is legit

@speak_low: seek help. Your unhealthy obsession with sheep is getting out of hand

I hope they both do well seeing as I'm eventually gonna get both.
