Wild
The Tomorrow Children
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Alienation
Shadow of the Beast
Rime

Alienation looks like a reskinned Dead Nation, don't know enough about Shadow of the Beast since it went M.I.A., and not enough either about Everyone's Gone to the Rapture but the other ones look very interesting (especially Wild since Michel Ancel is working on it!!)
I only had heard of Rime, which looks incredible, but Wild has me hyped now, The Tomorrow Children looks dope, and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture sound cool as ****.
I don't think that any of these pretend games have $100+ million budgets, so no.
Discerning console elitists demand a certain minimum level of quality that is explicitly defined by the amount of money spent to develop and advertise a game.
Who cares about gameplay? It's all about the Benjamins, cookie cutter (sequel) movie games, and smoke and fog.
LOTS of smoke and fog.
some of these look interesting, but I've not seen enough to really want to play any of them at this point
Everybody's Gone to Rapture looks interesting, Santa Monica being involved is a big plus as well.
Isn't No Man's Sky an Indie?
WiLD looks like it could be interesting. Still dunno what to think about Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Rime looks like a pleasant time which I'll probably check out. And No Man's Sky is another one that I'll probably be checking out.
So yeah, some do interest me.

lolllllll you utter moron :)
.... well, based on their concept art and videos some of them look what I would call mildly interesting.... but given that 99% of them are not real gameplay or any real information... no not in the slightest.
Spoiled by Star Citizen's open developement I think... I just find every other company secretive and annoying now. why can't we know more about your products?
Is that Rapture game one of those games where you just walk around, and listen to someone talking?
More or less. It is by the Dear Esther guys.
I don't really mind that. Not sure why people do mind that.

Oh dear, indeed.
I'm just not into those games. Something like Journey I can enjoy. Or Flower.

That's like half of the excitement of a new release gone though... If you already know everything about a game then what kind of "revelations" are you to expect in the final release? None. No surprises, no sense of unique exploration...

? not really.... I don't know everything about SC ... but I know what features it intends to have, and how it currently looks/feels to play.... with large write ups... you say thats half the fun.... yet millions upon millions of MMO/MOBA gamers read up every ounce of a games patches or upcoming expansions.
Why? because knowing the mechanics and gameplay detail is far more important than "emegherd dumbledore died..... Kratos is a woman, or the little girl in TLOU dies in the next DLC!" its not the same thing.
That first game "Wild" ... well... I want to say its an interesting concept.... but a concept is useless..... just like No Mans Sky reveal... useless.

All of what you said is 100% subjective. I personally try to read up as little as possible on the games I want to buy, because devs reveal way too much before release. For a game like Star Citizen, all I need to know is that it's an impossibly-beautiful space sim with a complex trade system and lots of shit to do. The rest I will find out when I play it, which is imo half of the fun in video games. Finding new things and trying to figure them out.

I know. I didn't think it was necessary to point out.
But again... I don't want story spoiled or anything either.... but I can't hype games on concept videos... it seems rather stupid.... so right now, 90% of those games are just pixar movies with empty promise. now... if they showed me say a 10-30 minute demonstration of its concepts..... in actual gameplay... that woudl be more than enough.
But until then "Wild" is another cheesey pixar crap with no direction..... no nothing as a GAME.
@MBirdy88: "emegherd dumbledore died..... Kratos is a woman, or the little girl in TLOU dies in the next DLC!"
Thanks.............spit up my water. LMAO
Not all of these games are "indies".
Haven't seen enough gameplay for any of the games to have any sort of excitement though.
Those closest I can get is the thought that Rime might be similar to Ico, and Wild is made by Michel Ancel (though having Rayman as your pedigree doesn't mean all that much)
I'm interested in all of them.... actually I'm interested in almost every game, Reguardless of its lable, but indies are the only freshness left in gaming.
Feel bad for folk who still buy the wash rinse and repeat fps/tps and think that's their only choice.
