It’s a first-person space RTS in which you stand on the bridge of a space ship, use a tablescreen to command your fleet, and then watch the resulting battle play out through your space windows.

Besides you’ll be able to climb aboard smaller vessels to pilot them yourself, and order your troops to form boarding parties and enter enemy vessels.

Kinda looks like Homeworld in first person view.

The game is being built by UK-based Urban Logic Games to be functional both with the Oculus Rift and with regular monitors.

Always in the mood for more RTS.

Dunno how the first person view can work though.

im all for the suspension of disbelief but......why would a ship designer place its most important crew in such a vulnerable part of the ship? ok if it was a cruise liner then fair enough. but its a warship.

other than that it looks like a standard space RTS. the first person is a cool idea for the rift but im not sure it will really benefit the game.

Would be pretty sweet, if you could have a multiplayer component where your teammates take part in the boarding raids or pilot the smaller vessels. Add in some 4x pieces as well and gaming heaven. Looks pretty sweet by itself too though!

i've always wanted to dabble in a 3d game engine

Never heard of the studios. I didn't get much from googling their name either. What else have they been involved with? This game looks good.

Unity is running on updated Anvil or whatever.

And most Unity engine games don't look special, so it's good to see that this game looks a bit better than your average unity engine game.

Looks really interesting. Definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on.

Nope, never played that game.

I do remember a Half Life 2 mod that was supposed to be a cross between FPS and RTS, dunno what ever became of it though...
