Am I the only one who likes heavy and bulky console?

I see some people complain about the size and weight of systems.

I like a beefy system. the ps3 was my fav console because of it. the ps3 had so much inside over the ps2 heck it even had a ps2 inside when i bought my ps3 at launch.

i also like the original xbox design over the 360.

ps5 and series x are going to be beefy heavy consoles and thats what i want.

light consoles like the game cube feels more like a tech toy you buy in the baby electronics area.

gamecube was a good system but im just saying it was so small and light.

so for me the beefier the better.

i want my reaction to be dam this thing is heavy when i open my new system lol.

ps5 to looks like a ps3 on steroids. im loving it.

series x looks more appealing to me than the series s because of this.

I don't take my systems on vacation with me.

im on vacation to get a way from video games and life for a bit.

Well I don’t know about ‘bulky’ but I do like having my electronic devices to have a nice solid heft to them. I don’t really care for a hollow light feel to them. That just makes them feel kind of cheap in my opinion.

yeah thats what i think. i like it to feel heavy and well made.

Don't care so much about weight but build quality is important to me.

I prefer small but with good build quality. It should still feel solid to hold it, not hollow.

The OG Xbox and fat PS3 should really be the upper limit for how big a console should be.

The X1S, X1X and entire PS4 line are also quite nice in terms of size. The X1X in particular is a very well built console imho. all the horsepower in quite a small console....not bad at all.

I'm looking at my wiiu too and thinking " that's quite a nice console". it's a very narrow console so its quite discreet. and doesn't take up a lot of horizontal room. Difficult to cool though. The console itself though still feels very solid.

I prefer slim and sexy.

Nintendo consoles may be small, but they're known for being incredibly durable, thanks to a special material called Nintendium (TM).

I like when consoles looked like a thing other than a box.

The XSX is the most well-built console I've used since the 'modern' era of consoles.

PS4 feels like a cheap toy by comparison.

do you mean xbox one x lol? xsx is not out yet even though it looks like it will be well built to.

My step son brought over his xbox one x and yes by far the best console this gen. but the ps4 had the games.

my ps4 pro died on me and i'm glad to see sony are gong back to the ps3 like design with the ps5 and not like the ps4 or the pro.

the ps4 just had the games i wanted but man is it a cheap piece of shit lol.

if xbox launch with the xbox one s and x instead of the crappy xbox one they would of done better i think at launch.

I prefer a console that is built well and does not have that many movable parts. Size and weight are not issues to me.

I generally don't care about the weight of a console. I don't like big consoles but there is little you can do besides accepting it for what it is. Beyond that, I just place it on the entertainment center and that's it. I am not logging it around.

yeah my fav looking one i think was the turbo duo. i do like the series x as a console and the parts inside but ps5 looks better because its not a box.

i was going to get that one but my ps1 cd cover broke and did not shut anymore so i had to macgyver it so it would shut. so i got the old model when i bought the ps2 instead.

the plastic hook thing on the ps1 broke off. i was afraid it would happen again with that ps2.

I never understood why the Xbox One design was hated on. I like all 3 of them especially when compared to the PS4 Pro. It has some heft to it but the plastic case just feels cheap and looks cheap.

My PC already weighs like 13 kilos(28 lbs for you Yanks), so I'd like my console to be as light as it can be, TYVM. I might even wait for the PS5 Slim just so Sony can iron the kinks out.

I prefer the slimmer version of consoles where available. But, so long as they have adequate cooling. Not the mess the Xbox 360 was.

Not sure I care once I have it where it'll sit for years. I would certainly trade away looks and weight for durability and functionality.

Couldn't care less how it looks. Just give me performance that isn't a complete meme that we got this gen.

I like consoles that can fit in my pocket or handbag. Never know when you're gonna get stuck in an elevator!

I do. I almost never like the smaller version of consoles. They look cheap and flimsy compared to the larger ones.

Nope, but I wish they made high end console options for us that aren't broke. The answer is not a gaming PC...

Let's say Sony's PS5 which has 10.5 Tflop / 825GB SSD / 8 core CPU is $499.

Make a PS5 Pro that's 21 Tflop / 1.65TB SSD / 16 core CPU for $999.

@Mozelleple112: In 3-4 years time Sony can phase out PS5 with PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro can be surpassed by a PS5 'Ultra'. which has 42 Tflop GPU in 2023-2024.
