All Aboard The Remaster Train, Next Stop Dishonored

Apparently "Dishonored Definitive Edition" has been submitted to the Brazilian Advisory Rating System by Bethesda for release in 2015

The expectation is that it will be available for PS4 and Xbox One, with all the DLC included

I know for sure that no one asked for a Dishonored remastred.

That game visually looked like crap when it came out. Having a higher framerate and higher res isn't going to fix that.

Meanwhile people on steam are complaining about a proper remake at half the price.

I love how pointless this new console gen is.

And with a few exceptions, the highest rated games are last gen's remakes.

Ugh. This gen blows for consoles.

The next gen will be even worse and will remake remakes. Somehow they're managing to even make ten year old games work worse ,a ton of remakes noone wants, squareenix could make a money printer called final fantasy 7 remastered and they won't.

It's cool that all the DLC is included for people who didn't play the original release I could see it being worth it.

pray to god this generation is no longer than exactly 5 years or you'll be getting KZ:SF, Ryse, Knack and all of this bullshit remastered in 'true omfg give me money edition'

This thread is buffoonish. There's nothing wrong with remasters; they allow gamers who didn't play them during the previous generation to play them now and with better technical specifications.

Why not just Dishonored 2 and have a remastered and/or damn good port of the original like Bayonetta 2? This wasn't even a last gen exclusive that people might have missed out on...

If they didn't play them last gen why on this one? It would be cheaper to pick up a last gen copy over a remaster. There's the argument maybe they sold the last gen console, or didn't have it.
Not really a excuse now since the last gen consoles have been pretty affordable for awhile now. That said, I liked dishonored, but not enough to shell out more cash for it.

I'd rather they use that money/time on making new games, something the new consoles are severely lacking and could REALLY use.

This remake craze is just a last ditch effort at milking the fact that consoles suck at backwards compatibility with a quick port of a recent game.

I get it if the game is really old, but most of these games aren't that old at all.

All these remasters, and the only one I want goes unaddressed.
