Was just curious why there hasn't been any real talk about the upcoming XBOX ONE/PS4 versions of Madden 25, FIFA 14, NBA Live 14 and NBA 2K14? I mean you all may disagree, but in my opinion what sells new consoles are awesome FPS's, pretty racers and sports titles. Are we to assume that the next gen versions of these games may not be all that much better than the ones coming to the 360 and PS3? Silence is damning if you ask me!
What could they do? The graphics might look nicer as well as the animation but at the core they're still going to be the same damn thing. I'm more excited for Frozen Endzone than Madden 141921312.

Didn't you see the awesome new ball, it is it's own entity... and can move freely! That's next gen right there :cool:
because the first sports games on new consoles are almost always stripped down trash.Â
id rather they wait a year and release a full game.

Well for me anyway, its not the visuals that I want improved. I think that sports games need better physics and better immersion. I mean yeah, I would expect an uptick in the visuals, but its the other stuff I want.

I'm interested and seeing how NBA Live 14 turns out. I'm not getting Madden, Fifa 14 or any other sports game on launch day. I'm tired of spending $60 for a game and then it doesn't live up to all the hype it receives. NBA 2K11 was awesome and 2K12 wasn't that bad, but NBA 2K13 was a complete disaster to me. I hated most of the changes. I haven't played Madden in like 5yrs. I'm not really into FIFA games. I do have MLB The Show 2011 version and a PSP version. They won't be that groundbreaking, the first tries will be nothing more than just better graphics, as developers get to know the machines, we will get new features.

it actually is man...Players don't even catch the ball in current gen madden. It sticks to an area around their hands

A good presentation adds a lot to the experience for all games, imo.
Nba 2K14 should be absolutely spectacular on next gen consoles, crowds finally wont look like terrible 2d PS1 character models and they wont all look the same... There will be so much more detail everywhere and the lighting will be drastically improved along with the animations... Itll be quite a upgrade actually im very excited. I had like a 210-75 record online on nba 2k13

They tend to recycle the same nonsense.

What I want is better AI. For example, I absolutely HATE the fact that the cpu defenders don't have an actual programmed line of vision. You pass the ball and they react to the press of the button, not to actually seeing where the ball is. That goes for basketball and football. But this is even worse with American Football because these games are supposed to be "simulation". Defenders make blind plays on the ball at will. But if you do that in the NFL, it's a pass interference penalty!

I agree about the sales, but this place has never had a big sports games following. People here piss and moan about them being the same thing, but as long as there are seasons, there will be seasonal releases. I don't play sports games like I used to, but I look forward to giving nhl a try on them.
all i can say is get the x1 version of next gen sports games..  why?  because of the 3d modeling that only the Kinect 2.0 offers.      playing with someone that looks exactly like you down to your BMI on tiger woods, nba 2k15, etc will be awesome on the x1.  ps4 eye cant do that shit, its a fact
