Nothing. Those early polygonal models/worlds couldn't even be saved by unique artstyles.

That said, that generation was my biggest foundational period as a gamer. Driver, SM64, SSB, Syphon Filter, etc, etc, so I have a lot of nostalgia for those games and can still play them.

Smackdown 2 looks really good for a game from that gen, its gameplay was really good as well.
