2 console race better than a 3 console race? (poll)

     IMO I believe it will be better for the consumer and actually allow for more solid competition were 2 companies take different approaches to gaming and have their own unique titles for the most part. Like in the days of Genesis versus SNES concerning franchises, each had their genre classics and unique mascots. (Curse Capcom for the Street Fighter sellout)

Also Systems wars would probably be more heated and the battle lines would be clearly drawn. Apparently many devs seem to think of the PS3 and 360 as interchangable.  What do you think?

The more the better.  I remember the buzz when 3D0, Atari Jaguar, NeoGeo CDZ, N64, PS, and Saturn where all duking it out.  Even though I couldn't afford some of the systems back then, it was fun as hell to dream about which ones I wanted and what games to get.  Back then, you really had to consider before investing, and cross platform game reviews could break or make a console.  I kind of wish Sega and NeoGeo were back in the game.  Also, bring back the handheld war.  Hope fully GP2X picks up so that PSP and DS aren't the only major choices out there.
