ummm it was Vagrant Story i guess ... or Parasite Eve .. one of these games for sure i just can't remember which one was the first. and of course when they were called Squaresoft
after that i played FFVIII which it was the 3rd game i ever finished in the PS1 history lol and i got into RPG stylish right after that till now :)
I'm not absolutely positive. Did Square participate in Super Mario RPG? I can't clearly remember. It was my first RPG, before I was entirely aware of what that was haha. If not though, then it was FFVII when I was oddly mesmerized playing it in Target. A cool moment for me, it was one of the exceptionally rare times where there were a group of kids my age all around it, watching others play it and just as mesmerized as I was. Though looking at it now, graphically speaking its pretty foul but still a fantastic game. But despite owning a PS3, I'll just play the CD-ROM version I own, not the recently downloadable one.ExireHG
Super Mario RPG was developed by Square. A supposed sign of the bond of friendship between Square and Nintendo. Too bad the bond didn't last beyond two years after that otherwise we might have had more SM RPGs. Now that both of them have kissed and made up ( :P ), the rumours surrounding a SM RPG have gone up recently!Â

Heh, a bit late for me sadly. I've been a Nintendo fan since I was a kid, but already owning a PS3, 360, and PSP; chances of me owning a Mario game in the near future is slim to none. Not a real big fan of the Wii or DS. I'd feel like too much of a whore if I got either of them. Not that I have the money for anything like that anyway. But thanks for jogging my memory anyway. XD
I don't know if I posted here before but. Bust-A-Groove!!
If that doesn't count then its Final Fantasy X. And Those two games will always be my top favourite games. :)
My first Square game (notice I said Square and not Square Enix) was Final Fantasy II on SNES. My first Enix game was Illusion of Gaia on SNES. My first SquareEnix game was Final Fantasy X-2. Square has been a favorite gaming publisher of mine since I bought, and loved I might add, Final Fantasy II on SNES.

I do believe my first Square game was Super Mario RPG on the Nintendo 64.

Damnit, I mean SNES. Sorrah guyzz..
My first Square fame was Final Fantasy VIII. From there I played FF VII and started playing all the other PS games by Squaresoft and then I started playing the ports like Final Fantasy Anthology, Chronicles, and Origins. Then I got an emulator and played all the old school Nintendo and Super Nintendo square games. Then I finally got a PS2 and played all of the authentic Squaresoft games. Recently I've been exploring with the more "Enix" style games and I haven't been enjoying it too muchdanmccarthy2
me too, all in the same order
my 1st square game was either chain of memories for the GBA or crisis core for the psp
idnt remeber but which iplayed first, but i liked them bothÂ
