SQUARE ENIX EXPERIENCE - RULES

SEE is bound and shall abide by the following set of rules, listed by order of superiority:

1. Gamespot Terms of Use (formerly, Terms of Service) - TOU/TOS
This is the absolute rule for all activities in Gamespot.

2. Final Fantasy Experience Constitution - CONSTITUTION
This is the absolute rule for all "Experience" unions; providing for the fundamentals of union building, among others: union policies, management structure, and powers and duties of union officers and members.

3. Rules on Board - ROB (see below)
The general rule regarding the procedure to be observed in all the actions and behavior of all members and posters of SEE.

4. Off-Topic Rules - OTR (see below)
Rules regulating the existence of Off-Topic threads in SEE.

Provisions subordinate rules that are against the provisions of the superior rules shall be declared null and void.

This management setup for SEE was designed in a way that the ownership over SEE shall remain to be owned FFE, through me, Fantasy_Gamer. This is a safety net to ensure that if ever the appointed leader of SEE becomes inactive, committed serious violations in our agreement regarding him/her taking the position of "Leader" of SEE, and for some other reasons I find detrimental to SEE, FFE will still have a valid claim to take over the leadership of SEE until a suitable replacement has been elected and/or chosen.

Under this setup, the appointed Leader will be the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SEE. He will direct on his own or upon consultation with the officers and/or members (this will dependent on the internal arrangement of the Management Team) the activities of SEE, for as long as it is not in violation of our rules.

However, in the exercise of FFE's ownership, I am reserving my right to stay as one of the officers of SEE, just to ensure that FFE's presence is felt at SEE. Also, in the exercise of its general supervision over SEE, FFE has the right to check, evaluate and do the proper action/s, including reclaiming leadership or changing the leader, to ensure that the SEE Management Team is doing its duties and responsibilities. Major decisions should be consulted to me to ensure that no rule is violated.

For as long as all rules are faithfully observed, SEE under the appointed COO (a.k.a. "Leader"), aside from me, shall be given autonomy in dealing with union activities and difficulties.

SQUARE ENIX EXPERINCE - RULES ON BOARD

Rule 1
GENERAL PROVISIONS

Section 1: Title of the Rules.-These Rules shall be known and cited as the Rules on Board (ROB).

Section 2: Applicability of the Rules.-These Rules shall apply in all areas of the Square Enix Experience (KHE), including the homepage and the message board.

Section 3: Actions Governed.-These Rules shall govern the procedure to be observed in all the actions and behavior of all posters, whether member or not, while in the vicinity of SEE.

Rule 2
POSTING IN GENERAL

Section 1: How to post.-There are three aspects of posting, namely: creating topics, replying and quoting.

1. Creating Topics is the mode of making a specific thread for a particular discussion that a poster would want to discuss with other posters. You can initiate it by going to the message board and clicking the "New Topic" icon.

2. Replying is in other words, the regular posts you make. It does not necessarily mean reply per se. It includes any other message you post in a particular topic. You can initiate a reply by clicking the "Reply" icon or the "Post New Message" icon.

3. Quoting is like a reply, but it displays the specific message made by previous posters that you want to reply on, along with your message. Quoting is nice, but if abused will result into disruptive posting, which is against the ToS. To quote a message, click the "Quote" icon in the message you want to quote.

Section 2: What to Post.-Anything may be posted, subject to the limitations set by TOU/TOS and OTR, but posters are encouraged to make Square Enix-related posts. Off-topic posting is allowed in SEE.

Section 3: Who May Post.-Everyone, member or not, is encouraged to post at SEE.

Section 4: Where to Post.-There are only two (2) areas where we can post, the message board and the homepage.

Section 5: When to Post.-Posters may post anytime of the day.

Section 6: Why Post.-Posts are essential for union activity and will boost union rating, so whenever you are logged in on the internet, try to post in the union.

Section 7: Poll Limitation.- Only 1-3 polls will be allowed going on at one time. If more are made, the last active will have its poll removed, but the topic will remain for discussion.

Section 8: Thread Locking. - The Thread will be closed if Posting, Flaming, Spam, and if Off Topic Discussion get's out of hand. Be careful with where you decide to post something. If the topic will be closed it will be for a good reason. But if you think it got shot for no good reason contact the leader and he will take matters into hand.
*For Management Team: If you close the topic post a reason why you closed it.

CREATING TOPICS

Section 9: All new members ask themselves: "Where should I post?" That is why we are having this standard, so newcomers and also we can coordinate easily through the board. We will have only two rules for this:

a) Title of the Topic! - Titles must conform with the rules, especially with regard to spoilers and offensive posting. Title has to have a meaning so when a member see's the topic he will understand what it is about.

b) Explanation! - If you create a Topic you also need to explain what it is about and what do you expect from other members in this topic. And also make an example, if it's necessary;

Rule 3
POSTING ATTITUDE AND BAHAVIOR

Section 1: (a) The following TOU/TOS prohibited acts are strictly prohibited in KHE:

1. No offensive Posting! (This will include sexually explicit/racist/hate speech and threats.)

2. No flaming! (Clear insults of other board users.)

3. No censor bypassing! (Not completely obscuring words considered by Gamespot as "offensive/banned".)

4. No illegal activities! (ROM/ISO/Warez/MP3/Cracks Begging and/or Providing)

5. No spamming! (ALL CAPS, large blank posts, multiple hard-to-read posts, etc. This will also include massive use of the "Quote" option in replying to forum posts.)

6. No Necro-Posting! - (Reviving super old threads that have no relevance to anything anymore. If the thread is more than 6 pages back or 2 months old, don't revive it. If it's a topic that you would like to talk about again, make a new topic. Necro-Posting only clutters the threads that are being used in the present and makes mess on the board.)

(b) The rules regarding Trolling will be relaxed with regard to mild or friendly teasing/annoyance only. Other than that, it will still be subject to moderation.

(c) The rule against Off-Topic Posting is totally relaxed, subject to the limitations set in the OTR.

Section 4: Let us all respect each other. Recognize the fact that we have different minds, different tastes, different standards. Foul languages shall not be tolerated!

Section 3: Let us treat each other as friends, if not brothers and sisters, here who has one thing in common... That is, we love gaming, specifically KH.

Rule 4
GRIEVANCES AND CONFLICTS

Section 1: If anyone has a grievance or is in conflict with any poster of KHE, let us try to settle it as soon as possible. The posters are the life-blood of our union and a conflict between posters will surely affect our union. There is always the PM, and in cases of issues directly affecting the union, the board is open to be used as a means to air your grievances and settle conflicts.

Section 2: In airing your grievances, keep calm and avoid offensive language. Be objective as far as possible. Let us settle things in a civilized manner.

Rule 5
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE UNION GROWTH

Section 1: Let us work as a team. Let union interest be the paramount consideration in all things we will do.

Section 2: Be involved with the activities of the board. Not only does it make SEE active, but it will also make our stay here more enjoyable, plus we can make a lot of friends.

Section 3: Help in recruiting new members. Invitations for membership can be made at the "Admin" section of our union. In every new recruit we get, we always have a chance of getting a possible union "regular", which can help to greatly improve our board activities.

Section 4: Everyone is encouraged to make and submit their own SE-related news articles, reviews and guides. If you want to contribute one, please submit it to the officers tasked to handle news/content editor for editing and we will post it for you.

Section 5: For those who have talent with graphic arts and designs, you may cooperate with Jumbo to make different things such as banners, tags and icons for our union.

Section 6: All contributions to the union shall become properties of the union, except when the materials presented in the news-blog or the forums are mere quotations or citations of the work of another person or website. Nevertheless, due credit shall be given to each contributor for their contributions.

Off-topic posting, which refers to any "non-Square Enix" topic, except those threads relating to the union, shall not be allowed in the Square Enix Experience forums except in the following threads, unless otherwise later provided:
