You ever wonder what the lyrics mean in Sephiroth's theme song, One Winged Angel? Well, I was curious and looked them up and though I'd share them with you.

Estuans interius - Burning inside

ira vehem enti - with violent anger

Sors immanis - Fate- monstrous

Et inanis - and empty

Veni, Veni, Venias - Come, Come, O Come (Gloriosa-Glorious)

Ne me mori facias - Do not let me die (Generosa-Noble)

I know most people will not care but for those that do, here you go. I didn't type out the whole song, it mostly repeats itself and says Sephiroth alot.

Sweet, I've always been wondering if they've been just mumbling or saying actual words besides the word Sephiroth. Thanks.

Isn't that Latin?

I've wondered what the lyrics mean, but have never bothered to look.

Ok. I found them. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Noli manere, manere in memoria - Won't remain, remain in memory,

Saevam iram, iram et dolorem, - Raging anger, anger and pain,

Ferum terribilis--ferum fatum, - Fierce terror--fierce fate,

Veni mi fili, veni mi fili, - Come my son, come my son,

Hic veni da, mihi mortem iterum, - Come, give me death again,

Hic veni da, mihi... - Come, give me...

Noli manere, in memoria, - Won't remain in memory,

Saevam iram et, dolorem, - Raging anger and pain,

Ferum terribilis, fatum, - Fierce terror, fate,

Ille iterum, veniet, - The second advent,

Mi fili veni, veni, veni mi fili, - Come my son, come, come, come my son,

Mi fili veni, veni, veni mi fili, (Qui mortem invitavis,) - Come my son, come, come, come my son, (By death's invitation,)

Mi fili veni, veni, veni mi fili, (Poena funesta natus,) - Come my son, come, come, come my son, (Painful tainted birth,)

Mi fili veni, veni, veni mi fili, (Noli nomen vocare,) - Come my son, come, come, come my son, (Won't call the name,)

Mi fili veni, veni, veni mi fili, (Ille iterum veniet,) - Come my son, come, come, come my son, (The second advent,)

There you go. Hope you enjoy this feast of knowledge.

I think the Black Mages did a excellent job on interpruting some of the FFVII themes for the Advent Children OST. Still the best version of it was released in 2001 on the Reunion Track; a orchestral of the original.

Thanks for translating the lyrics. I always wondered what the lyrics were. Very interesting and, as I suspected, creepy.

And if you are really curious you should know that the lyrics from the original OWA are fragments from Carmina Burana, being the most known Orff's version, which fits the music style of this theme. How many times haven't we heard Oh fortuna! as an evil, villain related music...

Also the original One Winged Angel was in Latin, but the Advent Children One Winged Angel was Neo-Latin. Don't ask me what the difference is, I just came across it while looking for the second set of lyrics.
