Well do you think that would make the Gameplay bad? I am asking this because a game shouldnt be looked at from where they are, just form the gameplay and Story and of course the Characters of which are a great pasrt to the Story. The place that they are Stationed shouldnt matter much. There are a lot of great Space games (not including Star Wars). Dont Mock it until you try it. :P
well, i dont mind. i just wish ff xiv goes back to the way ff used to be for once( ff xii isnt really tradition). like four crystals, dragons, small villages and world map.
btw final fantasy is better than star wars.( opinion)
Well i consider 13 to be too different from what i have seen from other Final Fantasies it just seems to be over the top Sci-fi instead of a proper final fantasy at the moment but we will have to see how the game turns out fingers crossed:)

Now to get back on the topic at hand. I think if Final Fantasy was to be a bit liek Star Ship Troopers then that would make it a bit better but even then, who knows. We really dont know until the game is released.

I wish i knew what Square-Enix was thinking. I hope i change my thoughts on FFXIII soon. I think that i will because over time i changed my thoughts on FFXII :D
Well you dont really knwo much about Final Fantasy XIII so you should change your mind about it. Try to read into as much as you can so as to not hate a game for nothing.

Yeah you are right. I will read up about it and stuff, i think i most deffinately will change my mind on the game
I for one dont like the Idea of it being futureistic, I'm more the medievil type. Or at least more current time. This may not take away from the gameplay but for me it will take awway from the story. And the chances are that I wont even play it. I'm stuborn that way
I actually believe Final Fantasy XIII looks like it has a perfect environment for what it looks like the now. I can't really say much else though because I can't view the Trailer due to me having Dial Up...
FFVII, FFVIII, & FFX were pretty futuristic, were they not. VII & VIII had rocketships & spaceships in them. X opened up in a futuristic city long forgotten. It had alot of futuristic elements. None of these games had Kings & Queens (at least I don't think). I think XIII's setting is just fine. It has lush lands as well as futuristic places. Why do all RPG's have to be set in medievil times anyways.

Ching Ching, we have a winner. :P Well i do agree on a level with the Environment but this may have a bad effect of the game but we wont really know until it comes out. I for one dont look forward to a Final Fantasy Space game. I dont think it really goes with the Series BUT, i will give it a shot and see how it pans out.
it's too early to tell exactly what the world will be like. If you look at some of the past Final Fantasy games a few of them were looking a little sci-fi, Final Fantasy VII in Midgar would be considered a Futuristic or sci-fi feel to it. The same with Final Fantasy X, Zanarkand the ruins of a high Tech futuristic city and a few of the current cities in that world had a futuristic feel to it.
