Hmm.. Well I don't like MMOs, so there is no chance of me getting this.. but I suppose it looks interesting. I think it's important that SE is sending more of their games to NA.
Since it is free I'll probably give it a try. I've played a few MMO's but I lose interest pretty quick (and waste money since I never cancel my subscription right away.)

I have a feeling they'll really start putting more and more games online with the release of Brawl, but they don't have too many games that can go online on the Wii...and look at their demographics..casuals...who usually don't play games online. So.....
It's kinda like what I said too, look at who Nintendo is targeting with this console, the more casual/non-gamer crowd, who could probably care less about online gaming and more about having a lightgun/motion sensative controller. The Wii is selling well enough right now that Nintendo probably doesn't care about online support, they probably feel like they don't even need it to compete with the 360/PS3. Brawl will most likely be a success online (like SC4.....my god I wanted Soul Calibur 3 to be online...thanks Namco for finally stepping up this gen :lol: ) and may cause Nintendo to go more online....but right now they don't really need it.
Well yes the Wii is targeted to the casual gamer but they're also "promising" us real gamers that they haven't forgotten about us....so....where's the online nintendo!? ^_^
I never used to like online gaming either but that is because I never got into playing games on a PC. (I am a Mac girl through and through) Now that I can do it on my 360 I'm all for it. I am hoping that Nintendo is going to pay more attention to the "serious gamers" as well and broaden their horizons a bit. If they want to stay competitive they are going to have to. After all, we're the ones who spend entire paycheques on games :) hehe
So I guess that I'm a "casual gamer" because I'm not interested in online play? :P Come on guys, surely the term "casual gamer" refers more to the amount of time a person spends gaming (or the types of game that they play) rather than whether they play online or not.
^ I said they "probably don't" not, they don't period :P The definitions of "casual" and "hardcore" depend on who you are asking really, I think casual relates to playtime and what they own (as in, the number of consoles/handhelds they own), hardcore seems like they'd play alot and have almost every console/handheld. But, like I said, it depends on who you ask :P

I don't think that was what was being implied (certainly not by me). That would be ridiculous! I agree totally with your idea of what a casual gamer refers to, and as we were talking about it in terms of the Wii, I was referring more to the type of games that the Wii offers currently.Â
