Are you sure about that? To emerge from bankruptcy, the city could go through layoffs, pay cuts and increase taxes.

Anybody that can afford to leave the city has already left. Only poor people are still there.

Yup, white flight pretty much sums it up. The city itself has lost over 60% of it's population in the past 60 years, including most of its middle-class (and let's face it, white) population. The metro area, which is what's important when it comes to determining market size, has actually remained relatively steady for the past 50 years has above average income level levels.

Jairus Byrd is a beast, whoever gets him is getting a hulk-sized boost in the pants area.

Browns already got Dansby and Whitner in FA. If they can somehow obtain a decent QB, I see a playoff appearance in 2014. They weren't even that bad last year and they are getting better quick.

Browns have had some nasty defensive signings the past two seasons. As an avid watcher of AFC East teams, Pettine's defense is nothing to screw around with.

@Master_Live: Unfortunate but not particularly surprising. The Cowboys are in cap hell and Ware isn't the player he isn't used be, add in the fact that this move saves the Cowboys $7.4M and it was really the only thing they could do from a football standpoint.

With a conditional pick in 2015 as well. Gabbert may be one of the worst quarterbacks of all-time and Colt McCoy was honestly a pretty decent backup anyway.

TJ Ward signed with the Broncos for 4 years/$23M. That's an incredible good deal for the Broncos, that's a great deal particularly when you look around the league and see lesser and older players like Antone Bethea and Donte Whitner getting about a million dollar more annually over the same time frame.

DaMarcus Ware and Julius Peppers got cut.

Watch Gabbert exit the 49ers early in the preseason. And that's giving him credit. >_>

Was hoping we'd pick up Byrd since we've needed a safety ever since Collins got hurt. :(

Miles Austin also got cut.

Now the Saints want to Trade Sproles. So let me get this straight. Who's idea on releasing or cutting him at first? Either they still having a hangover from Mardi Gras or somebody really wasn't thinking straight. I'm reading the article about trading him instead of cutting him. Smh C'mon man.

Either way. CUT JIMMY!

Ugh, can't lie. I don't mind not having Talib back at the contract he just got back from The Broncos but I wish that domino had fallen before Verner so we could have had a chance to shift our focus. Guess we might have to shift our focus to Revis, preferably without giving up a draft pick.

Supposedly the Lions are hosting Gold Tate and he has become a top priority for the team.

Man, if they get him and whip Stafford into shape that offense is going to be TERRIFYING!

@Boston_Boyy: I don't think the Pats should get Revis. Too much money when we have young CBs up and coming. Pats should sign an average CB to a 1 or 2 year contract until Logan Ryan is ready. Spend the money on the DL and ffs get Edelman back.

Heard the Hawks are talking with Jared Allen. We just cut Clemons, so that would be a great pickup. Glad we resigned Bennett, but I hope it doesn't come at the expense of Zach Miller.

Yo yo, after all these moves, and the money set aside for draft players.

The Broncos still have a little bit close to 10 million in cap space with the money they paid to their top 51 players.

John Elway is better than one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He's a fucking Wizard. Mother fucking warlock. Straight black magic up in Colorado.

We resigned Mike Neal. Still haven't picked up anyone new. Thompson said he would pick up players in free agency.

EDIT: Just noticed Owen Daniels visited the Packers. We need a TE if we lose Finley and Quarless.

And apparently the Lions DID pick up Tate! 5 year contract with undisclosed terms right now.

Wow if we get the QB situation straightened out that offense is going to be INSANE!!!

@PSP107: If I had to guess I'd say Revis could only find $9Mish annually over 4-5 year deals and therefore was willing to take a one-year, prove-it style deal at $12M in order to attract better offers next year.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Tate is nothing special. Elusive on punt returns, but really an average receiver. I'm glad we let him walk.

Jets have signed Eric Decker to a (surprisingly reasonable) 5-year $36M deal. Looking forward to seeing him matched up against Revis this year (and hopefully beyond).

He is a relatively strong receiver to pair up with Megatron which is a big deal. Tate could start looking a lot better on the lions with how worried teams are about Megatron, not to mention we have Bush in the mix as well.

Tate really is just a nice strong tool to give our offense variety/options and if the new coach can take advantage of it our offense will be pretty devastating. They were already capable of making big plays and this just gives them more opportunities.

The big concern though is if the QB situation will get taken care of...

I like the way they put his pic on nfl.com. It shows his expression on how he feels on becoming a Jets player.

*whispering*

That expression tells the whole story. LOL In other news, we get to keep P. Thomas. Thank Goodness. Now again. Get rid of Graham unless he still under contract.

I read a headline yesterday that said Graham had gone to the Bills and nearly busted out laughing (since Jimmy Graham was only transitioned). I clicked the link only to find out it was Corey Graham, whom I had never heard of. I was disappointed.

Yeah, Tate honestly has me worried if Stafford can get himself together...

If Stafford picks up his game I see the Lions pretty easily taking their division. The Packers proved to be way too reliant on Rodgers this year and were just in shambles without him. Their defense would not stand a chance against an improved Stafford with Tate now on the line-up.

Not to be picking on the Packers, they just happen to be the real rival in the division....
