EA's 08 Vs. 2K8

Yea Hockey and Basketball, 2k8

Madden 08 for football; Madden has football locked down. I don't think there is anything better than Madden(at least for now).

Here's my picks:

Madden NFL 08

PES 08

NBA 2K8(unless NBA Live really improves on the gameplay)

Not sure about the NHL games, don't bother with hockey, but I'll just go with NHL 08

My list would be FIFA 08, NHL 08, Madden 08, and NBA 2k8.

I've always preferred FIFA over PES. There's always been a few things that really bug me about PES (not counting licensing).

The only time I liked NHL 2k more than EA's offering since the 04 games was NHL 2k5. NHL 07 was amazing, and 08 looks even better.

I played APF 2k8, and while it does a few things better than EA (such as animations), I still much preferred playing NCAA 08, which is usually a good preview of Madden.

The only times I preferred NBA 2k to Live was 2k2, and 2k7. I even preferred Live 06 on 360 to 2k6. I really didn't like 2k6 for some reason (it looked like garbage on my SD TV). But NBA 2k7 was amazing. NBA Live 07 was horrendous! So this one could be a toss-up, but I would pick NBA 2k8 until NBA Live can prove me wrong.

2k Sports all the way.

I would say for....

Soccer + American Football = EA

Hockey + Basketball = 2K

NHL- IF EA pulls of what they said they would,go for 08, so wait for the reviews.

NBA- 2K pretty much a given.

NFL- Madden for sure.

Soccer/Football- Depends, it seems like casual fans like FIFA more while more hardcore fans like Pro Evolution.

Dude, if you buy NHL 2K8 over NHL 08 you will be kicking yourself! NHL 08 is going to be the best hockey game ever!

I won't buy it no matter what. EA always over promises and under delivers. I will not waste $60.

lol yeah i know, I haven't been this excited about a hockey for a while, and i don't own a PS2 or a next gen console. I'm going to save my money right now and try to buy a 360 in the winter time. My friend said hell buy it for his ps3 though so ill go over there and play it.

2k pretty much owns basketball. That series is so amazing.

But go with Madden, NHL 08, and I hate soccer so I don't care. :D
