College Football Thread 2014

@Chutebox: I think UCLA and Georgia are the two best companion teams at this point. They come in top 10-ranked and every time they start playing well enough to get national chatter as championship contenders they instantly squander it with a bed-shitting performance like they did today.

As for the rest of College Football, I feel like we still know just about nothing, #1 and 2 both had their second straight way too close calls, #6-8 all lost and the best resumes in college football at this point probably belong to currently #10 Utah and #25 Florida, and i'm 100% sure nobody had that before this season. I think the playoff discussion could get really ugly this year, wouldn't be shocked at all if multiple 2-loss teams are included.

@Boston_Boyy: I don't buy OSU or MSU as 1 and 2 yet this year. But then again, everyone else is losing so who knows? Gonna be a fun year since I don't see any team going undefeated.

Charlie Strong fired yet? Rather get the death penalty than see this regime go another year. IT FUCKING STINKS!

Mark Richt is trash and has been trash for 10 years. It completely blows my mind every time Georgia gets destroyed in a big game. And it's not because I ever expect them to win. I'm shocked because people are GENUINELY fucking surprised every time they get blown out.

He lost 3 games in 2008 with a team that had players like Matt Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, AJ Green, Justin Houston, Geno Atkins, Reshad Jones, Clint Boling, Ben Jones all on the same team. That's not even including players who started in the NFL for just a few years, like Dannell Ellerbe, Asher Allen, and Mohammad Massaquoi (and I'm probably still leaving out players who started in the NFL at some point). LOL.

funny how a month ago I would be watching pointless, poorly matched college football games on a cold Saturday afternoon, but watching slightly better matched bowl games, today, is so effing boring.
