Hey guys,

I am new to baseball. Can you give me a brief intro about the rules, stats, what to follow, tips to enjoy long games, games not to miss, etc.

Hit the ball and run as fast as you can to the right, that's it.

@PSP107: I like the NHL.But to be honest,I'm not the fan I used to be.I was a hardcore NHL fan during the 80's and the 90's.Gretzky was my favorite player. But I think I started to lose interest in hockey when the contracts were more important then winning the game, and most players were playing for bigger pays.I know it's in all sports but it just turned me off of the NHL.

@retro82: "Watching Baseball Smarter: A Professional Fan's Guide for Beginners, Semi-experts, and Deeply Serious Geeks" is a good start for anyone interested in baseball. Baseball can be simplified but it can also be extremely complicated. There are a lot of rules, many of which only come into play during certain occasions. The lingo or terms is what gets a lot of people confused.
