It has been one, two... FOUR years since the last Forum Usertag image thingy (I have no idea what it's really called) got an update, and I thought since I revised the Union banner, Welcome box and Union Icon, it would be bad manners to leave the union members without an update they can take home and put on their signature. With that, I bring SonicSpot's Forum Usertag Series 3 with a bit of newness. It's animated!! WOW! (yeah, that didn't sell it very well).

Officers
Union Leader (for posterity) Please don't hotlink the images (bandwidth is expensive). Right-click-Save it onto your computer and host it on your server, on a Photobucket account or even on your uploaded images on Gamespot. These non-mandatory, low-calorie images goes on your GameSpot signature (you can also use it elsewhere, if you want). Hit the Prefs link on the top of the GameSpot menu to open the Preferences panel, go to Forums and attach the image as your signature, or if you're using more than just one image, attach to the text box with your current signature (removing the asterisks) like so:
[*url=http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/home.php?union_id=SRiders] (IMG TAG HERE) [*/url]sonicphc
You can still use the old usertags, we don't mind, but it does show its age. I may come up with different collectable designs in the future, but for now, that is all. See you in the next four years... Dandymarsh Union Image Creator Squad Guy

I've got a problem. Whenever I try to upload the Member SonicSpot Tag to my signature (using dandymarsh's instructions) I can't seem to get it to work. I select the file from my C Drive, then click upload image, then Apply Changes, but after i select anything,the Browse box is empty! It says that images need to be under 50 Kilobytes, but the user tag is only about 10 Kilobytes.

Can anyone help me with this?

It's kinda easier to just hit copy and paste it in your sig.

Ahem:

It's easier, but you're NOT SUPPOSED TO DO IT. :)

Not quite. I took a peek, and you're referencing the same URL as Dandy's below. That's the "hotlinking" thing he asked you not to do. Instead, right click - Save as... the image, then go upload it to a site like Photobucket.com or something with your own account, and then use the url they give you there. :)

There's an "edit" action on your posts. Please use that when you want to update what you have to say rather than posting 4 times in a row. ;) Anyhow, any place you can upload the image and get a link from will work. Photobucket's what I use for Dandy's various sigs and things, and creating an account there is free. Facebook will probably work, too.

Guys, it's not rocket science. :P Here's the easiest thing to do: >Right click the image, hit Save As, name it something >Open a new tab and go to ImageShack.com, then hit the Browse button on the page and select to upload the image you just saved >Click the image when it's done uploading, you will be brought to a a page where you can see it >Right click the image, select Properties, then highlight the URL and do one of the following: -Copy and paste the URL into an img html code or BB code -Copy and paste the URL into the address bar to get just the image on your window, and copy that into your sig (only for people with the HTML edittor turned on) Hopefully that helps you all. I suggest ImageShack because it doesn't require a login account to use.

I'm just using Gamespot, I have an account there already. :P I haven't put it in my sig yet though, no room.

You have to wait for it to process on GameSpot, and you don't need an account on ImageShack to use it.

I've used GameSpot's image system for a while now, I'm used to waiting a bit. It's only an hour or so.
