Sonic RPG A - The Solarian Cipher
Right after the binding, Peter could feel a familiar power being used on him. Rana's eyes had opened and she was boosting his powers. Peter smiled, but didn't say anything to her. He teamed up with Danial in fighting. Tori joined Lexine in giving supportive fire, pulling out her own pistol and firing it at the assassins and robians. Around the time Neo joined in the fight, Gentoo showed up as well.
Castle Grounds Everything Babylon did went exactly according to plan - anti-grav powers and wind powers tend to go well together, and both he and Neo were trained mages. A group of robians, launched full force at the castle by their combined efforts, exploded into a shower of thick, black liquid that rained down onto the battle. Those that survived the bone-shattering impact were leaking black blood from multiple places, indicating the two mages had done quite a bit of damage. They were quickly running into a problem, though. Having cast multiple spells in a short time, each with large area of effect impacting many enemies, their mana was running dry. The adrenaline pumping through his system had caused Babylon to miss the warning signs, and he realized they'd need time to recharge just a little too late as his next Drift failed. The two of them were completely surrounded with a few minutes to go before they would be recharged enough to cast spells on that level again. Meanwhile, the assassins on the battlefield started to back away from the mages and headed for Lexine and Danial, each bringing with them a robian to shield them from the incoming bullets. It was a distraction that almost worked, but one of the Mizulans alerted Danial to something behind him. He would turn around just in time to see an assassin in mid-air just a yard above him, less than a second away from plunging a blade into the back of his neck. Peter was enduring a sort of power-sensory overload as he started to join the fight. The robians, assassins, and dragons above were all giving off multiple power signals too him. With so many options all presented at once and with everyone moving around the battlefield so fast it was hard to get a clear reading on what any of these powers were, but they were there for the taking if he wanted them. The Mizulans stayed back with Rana - her expending energy to boost Peter's power meant they'd have to work harder at putting energy in to finish healing her.
UndergroundGarritos's bite missed, but only because Knuckles's punch missed, too. The counter punch landed, though, knocking the echidna back into a dark corner. Garritos was unable to drain any energy from him - draining from a non-magic user would require physical contact. The metal shielding took a more upward trajectory than anticipated thanks to Sonic's whirlwind generating efforts, crashing into the walls and ceiling without striking the hedgehog. Now that Garritos was exposed, Sonic took a flying kick at the fox's chest to try and knock him away from the core and into the darkness of the rest of the complex.
OOC: Combat! All of the combat!

Babylon: we seriously have a problem...
Neo: no we dont, did you forget who the tech wizard is around here? Hang on!
Neo grabbed Babylon and held him in his arms. He called out to the suit saying 'wheels'. instantly the leg portions of the suit doubled out into propeller skates, four wheels each, the flame output burst off, causing them both to speed away. Neo began running around in large circles, occasionally knocking away a body.
Neo: Keep Calm and Recharge Mana, while i buy us some time. Dont worry, i had planned for this before getting here.Â
Christy gives Chan credit for the good hit despite the stinging pain. The tigress make her way over and slid on the ground to Chan to sweep his leg hard enough to fall on his back and axe kick his face. Zack stepped back away for a few feet, avoiding this.
OOC: If the storm doesn't get too bad, I'll PM for El-Len's fight.
Peter noted that Babylon and friend were in a bit of a tight spot. "Gentoo!" he called as he cut his way through to the group surrounding Babylon. Gentoo followed Peter to give aid as well. Once the two were over there, Neo had started running around in circles, and Peter liked the idea. Gentoo jumped on top of Peter's head, and threw shurikens, while Peter run around the group from the outside and slided at people with his sword.
Lexine and Tori continued to give cover fire to Danial as he teleported around.Â
Atop CastleChristy slid under Chan as he leapt over her low, sweeping attack. His trajectory was off, however, and he landed about a foot too far behind her to get the jump on her, giving her time to turn around and ready herself for the next exchange. So no damage anywhere, but Chan burned some fuel.
OOC: As always, don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Me spewing words all over the page with little editing to try and convey what's going on can't be making the scene any less chaotic.
Lenny chose to try to walk around back. Getting torn to shreds here really wouldn't benefit anything, and that crowd looked like the tearing apart type, even from here.
Well, that didn't help. New plan; shove her off anyway. He activated the magnet again and tossed the bar at Christy as he jumped backwards, away from her. He didn't want the thing to go through her, merely to get lodged in her. If that succeeded, he intended to activate the magnet again and push the bar further while attacking, hoping to throw her off balance and off the edge of the roof. OOC: Next time I create a robot character for an RPG he's definitely starting out with a magnet drive type weapon. :P
OOC: What can I say? Peter rigged the RPG.

As soon as Peter and Gentoo noticed that lasers were being aimed at them, Gentoo pulled out his katanas and Peter tossed him to the other side of the fighting. While in the air, Gentoo held out his blades so he could knock anyone out of the air. Peter, on the other hand, kept trying to move about so the robains and assassins couldn't get a direct fix on him. "Danial, I need a distraction! Lexine, go!"
Lexine and Tori had been keeping an eye on the mess that everyone else was in. The moment Peter called out, both Lexine and Tori teleported into the middle of the mess, grabbed Babylon and Neo before the assassins could take them, and teleported back to where they were before. Lexine had decided to leave the group a parting gift before teleporting off in the form of a grenade. Peter took note of it and back off so he'd be out of the way from anything flying out of it.
Ground With each stab, Danial noticed puncturing the skin got a little bit harder. His blades were dulling, and he was pretty sure the black liquid the enemies leaked in place of blood was at fault. Also, while his attacks were disabling assassins for a time, his peripheral vision caught those he had written off as 'corpses' starting to get back up. Lexine and Tori's rescue teleports exhausted them nearly to the point of passing out, and they only made it just to the outside of the pack on the teleport out. This left them, Babylon and Neo somewhat vulnerable, but at least not surrounded. The grenade explosion drew the attention of their foes away, giving almost enough time for the four of them to scramble back to their original hiding place, where the Mizulans and Rana were. The last bit of time they needed came from Danial activating his Notoriety powers, keeping the attention away from them. The explosion of the grenade came with an eruption of black liquid, splattering anyone nearby. Lexine had placed and timed it well, decimating the forces who were too distracted by Danial to realize they needed to run. Peter and Gentoo got covered in the bulk of the goo, which created a mild burning sensation on their skin and a more severe burning sensation in their eyes. Danial drawing the attention of the enemies away prevented this from making them vulnerable. Danial was a little farther from the source of the explosion, and his hood kept the liquid out of his eyes. He felt the mild burning on his skin, though, and the acidity of it explained why his blades were dulling. For all Danial's timing on activating his powers helped, however, he now had a problem. The entire cadre of robians that had been charging black energy blasts at Peter took aim at the hero assassin instead, and fired. All of Danial's senses shut down. His vision went dark, his hearing cut out, and his body went numb. It was a surreal experience, akin to floating in an endless void, but also an incredibly dangerous one - it's hard to control your limbs when you can't feel anything. Nobody else actually saw any projectiles fire. There was no time to dodge. From Peter's perspective, the balls of black energy simply disappeared at the same time Danial's eyes turned into jet-black voids. Though still glowing red from his power, Danial looked helpless, and now the entire enemy army was after him while completely oblivious to the existence of anyone else. ...and Lenny had quite a bit of walking to do before he'd be at the other side. OOC: Hopefully that's clear. Took me long enough to figure out what exactly would happen. I mean "decimate" in the original sense, by the way - destroying 1/10th of the original force.
Underground Sonic's foot touched the ground for less than a second before launching back at Garritos at incredible speeds, intending to catch the fox while still off balance from the first attack. While one corner of his eye noticed Sonic rushing back at him, the other corner of Garritos's eye caught a glimpse of fox tail at the other end of the hallway, just before one of the flames lighting the area went out.
While Peter wiped himself off, he thought up a quick plan. "Everyone get inside of the castle, now," he ordered. It was clear to him that they could get moving without further harm, so they might as well make the most of the situation. While they did that, Peter raced to Danial and dragged him away from the mob that was forming around him. The burning he was feeling would have to wait for now.
With Peter trying to save Danial, Gentoo rushed over to where Lexine and Tori were. He help them, Rana, and the mages into the castle, just as Peter had ordered. They waited for Babylon and Neo at the entrance.
Castle GroundBabylon and Neo had enough mana for a small trick or two, like the light, defensive gust of wind Neo had just used, but they still had some time to go before they would be lifting, blasting, and crushing en masse like they were earlier. They were able to reach the castle with the others without any hassle. It was a good thing Gentoo came over to help - the Mizulans had their hands full with Rana, and Tori nearly passed out from exhaustion trying to run over to the castle. They made it to the castle without any trouble from the enemies. Peter and Danial, though, had some trouble. The mob was still completely obsessed with taking Danial down, and they were capable of moving much faster than Peter could while dragging Danial along. Danial's eyes started to regain their color, which was a good sign that he was recovering, but the robians were all taking aim and charging black energy spheres again in preparation while assassins made their way to the front of the pack to prep for the killing blows. As they did, Peter felt a familiar sense of emptiness, and he knew just how to fill it. OOC: From the bind, Peter's got a 3rd power slot now. This gives him room to combine, bend, push, and block powers with a lot more freedom. In addition, combining, un-combining, reclaiming from controllers, and acquiring new powers are instant operations. Bending, pushing to controllers, and dropping powers all still have a cooldown period. Everyone else in the bind chain will be getting their new powers with each new post.
UndergroundGarritos noticed the air around him was getting much colder as he rushed towards where he thought the exit was. He passed a blue glow as he blasted by another T intersection - he heard the hedgehog's footsteps behind him as Sonic passed it as well.
UndergroundGarritos rounded the corner and nearly collided with a giant sheet of ice blocking off the wide hallway. The ice provided a safe, blue glow for him to rest in, but also cornered him a bit. The glow was faint, extending not more than 10 feet down the hallway, but it was enough. It was also very cold, but Garritos was producing way more than enough energy internally to compensate for it. Sonic stepped into the light just far enough for Garritos to see his grin, but not his eyes. The hedgehog extended a hand and pointed behind Garritos, presumably at the wall, as if to warn him about something.
OOC: sorry again, been busy with work and other cool stuff and havent had much time.
Babylon and Neo made it to the castle grounda safely. Neo put Babylon on the ground, whom strwtched his arms and legs a bit. He took a better look at Neo's IronManny armor in admiration.
Babylon: Nice work...
Neo: thanks... it was harder than it looked, but i managed.Â
OOC: This is pretty much after the bind caused all the bindees to heal.

Sirvanna woke up in a daze back at Lexine's house. She instinctivley looked for her friends, but she could find no one beyond the two assassins that brought her. Desperate to find them, she tracked Danial down and started to head in his direction, the assassins following behind her.
Once everyone was near the castle, Lexine took charge. "We should probably find the cats and those other two. Peter and Danial can handle themselves. The mages should stay with Tori and Rana. Tori has a comm so we can stay in touch. The rest of us will start heading down to here the spire core was."
Gentoo agreed and the two of them started to move, not really waiting for Babylon and Neo to follow.

Castle Ground [color=blue]The mob, somewhat aware that launching energy attacks at Danial was now a bad plan, charged at him headlong. They wanted him dead, and nothing more. They were still completely unaware of Peter's presence. The assassins, being more agile but also more vulnerable than the robians, kept themselves layered between the robians, pulling out their throwing knives and hurtling them at Danial's neck.[/color] Babylon was starting to feel combat ready again, having had enough time to recharge that he could hold his ow, though not quite fight at 100% efficiency yet. Lexine had instructed the group to follow down underground to the heart of the spire to help, but the action, it seemed, was certainly up here for now. He and Neo would have to pick their battle. OOC @s0: Sirvanna will have no trouble tracking Danial, obviously. It'll be a while before she shows up at the castle, but her new power is the 6th sense to detect anything anywhere. This is different than tracking, where she needs to know her target and can only follow one at a time. It's basically Eagle Vision. OOC @kj: When Danial is using his future sight, he essentially sees all actions and their consequences just a little bit ahead of everyone else. This would include Peter's actions, and Danial can wind back the clock to try and change the outcome. He could interfere, for example, if he sees Peter do something that gets him killed. Basically, play as normal and s0 will jump back and pull foresight/time shenanigans as appropriate.
Rooftop OOC: I really need to see how w_k reacts to your tower-destroying actions before I respond. I've got no faults with your plan, though. The technical term, by the way, is probably 'heater' :P
Underground "It is rude to ignore a lady, you know." The mildly familiar voice came from the other side of the ice wall. "I certainly hope you were not trying to leave. That would be why I erected these barriers in the first place. On the other hand, I do not want Renovir to kill you, so this leaves me with a problem. No, do not bother turning around. You would miss his next attack if you did, and I would like to see you fight while I decide what is to be done about you." Sonic took another flying kick at Garritos angling his feet so they'd be flat with the ice wall behind if he completely missed. Garritos felt the wall behind him getting colder, while the light it provided also grew brighter, giving him a little more room to fight.
Danial instructed Peter to attempt to run through a layer of them with super speed after he worked his magic. He kept his future sight up in case Peter stumbled his way into something bad.
[color=blue]Danial stopped everything again just as the knives were about to impact, since he knew exactly when that would happen now. Danial very easily turned the knives around and gave them a flick to go the other way, each one aligned with the trajectory of where an assassin was or was going to be if they were moving. If there were multible knives thrown by the same assassin, he adjusted some to hit a few robians, which might make Peter's charge easier.[/color]
OCC: I know how future sight works (I actually read everythinng sometimes), I was just saying I didn't have anything for Peter in that post.

Peter did as Danial told him to and started to charge through the masses, striking down assassins with his sword. He was having a hard time since he had to keep dodging knives that were being thrown everywhere.
Rooftop
Christy saw the falling pieces of stones come tumbling down on her. She only kept an eye on the ones closes to her. The little stones, Christy can just slap away. The big ones, the tigress swifts left to right while some dust and smaller rock hitting her face in the process of continue scaling the structure. Huge ones, Christy leaps on one off the other with those massive strong paws and cat jumps. Even though her spirit now belongs to Renovir, Christy's conscious and mind wonders if this battle is ever going to end.
Zack remains hiding behind another tower structure still watching.
"Can this just be over in a draw?" He asked to himself.
Base
El-Len herself is thinking the same with Garritos. ...Nope. Consider this a possible death match. Throwing a kunai at the fox's arm to prevent him from hurting the truest bluest fastest thing alive.
Rooftop The second tower was already pretty fragile from the massive spire strike earlier. It began to collapse faster than Chan had originally anticipated, falling towards the center of the roof and the castle spire quickly, threatening to crush both him and Christy in seconds if they didn't move fast. OOC: I'm glad you're the GM barren, and final arbiter of what's possible and not possible. I was worried I'd have to make a decision there ;) /herpderp
Underground The kunai struck Garritos in the back of the wrist just as Garritos laid Sonic out. The hedgehog hit the floor hard and didn't try to get up. Given that Renovir had brought these guys back to life, Sonic was probably going to be more resilient to destruction than a super-strength blow to the skull, but he at least he was down for now. This gave Garritos some time to realize how much damage El-Len's attack had done. The kunai broke through his reinforced skin and embedded itself deep within the bone of his wrist. The weapon burned with an intense heat thanks to the jet black coating allowed it to break through. If it weren't for his reinforced skin, it probably would have broken his wrist clean in two and exited the other side. He couldn't see El-Len, but he knew she was there now, hiding just on the edge of the darkness. The woman behind the ice wall commented, "How many people are you fighting, exactly? I am probably going to have to destroy them after you die, and I would like to know what I am up against."
Out of here, fast. Yeah, might or might not work. Gamble time... Not quite sure he had the rocket fuel to fly outwards (lacking something to jump off of), Lenny chose a different route; he grabbed the iron bar, swung it upwards (with full magnetic force behind it) at the crumbling wall beside him, and knocked a hole in it, then jumped through said hole as the tower crumbled around. Time for things to work, he hoped... On his way out he launched the iron bar back behind him in case the tigress tried to follow him.
Babylon and Neo decided to protect the castle from the incoming threat, since there was still action to be had. Babylon would have to be careful now though, since his power level was not at maximim, but he still could defend himself. They would both be staying above ground, at least for the moment.
Babylon: that was some pretty good speed. Get ready.
Neo: i was born ready! Let's go!
Babylon: Drift!
A pulse expanded from the ground outwards. Battle part 2 had begun.Â
El-Len looked at herself. No fur. No fluffy tail. No canine species. Nope. Just a chameleon. A reptile. Okay, then. She just shrugged at Garritos immaturity and plan her next move. She's aware of the voice though can't really worry about that now.
Rooftop
Christy high-tailed it outta there. Cartwheeling, somersaulting, and flips to avoid the debris. Another metal bar. Maybe Christy should just grab Chan and take him somewhere else where he can't keep throwing those things at her. But, where's the challenge in that? The tigress performed the perfect splits for the bar to fly over her head.
Castle GroundBabylon levitated some foes. [color=blue]This gave them better line of sight on Danial, and the few assassins took the aerial advantage to throw a couple of throwing knives at Danial while he was busy staring down the mob rushing him.[/color] OOC @Babylon: I need to know how many foes you're targetting and how long you're planning on levitating them - it affects your power drain if you try and lift 5 people as opposed to all of them. Underground "Soul stealing is not something I am particularly interested in, but thank you for the offer." The ice wall jumped forward around Sonic, putting him on the other side. "I do not want you taking his soul to your own advantage, however, so I will do you the favor of keeping him isolated." Garritos saw an orb of pure, white light appear just outside of the ice wall's ever expanding glow. It didn't illuminate anything, but it was there for him to see, and it was slowly growing bigger. The human, By-Tor, stepped in front of the light and drew his sword. He lifted off the ground and started levitating near the ceiling, preparing for some kind of attack. His back remained just on the edge of the darkness, but his face and weapon were visible.
Danial signaled Peter to try another dash, unless he thought Peter had a better attack method, as his super speed helped the first time.
[color=blue]Danial once again stopped time to take note of the throwing knives now being tossed at him. This time however, this was going to be a two-way attack. Danial shifted the knives at the charging robians, but as he resumed time, used a quick teliport to end up mere feet from their charge, before stopping time again. He lowered each one's spears to point at the ground, enough where the point was physically touching it. Danial had to do this quick though because he was right in front of them, so when time comes back on, he'd have to be ready for it.[/color]
[color=blue]Danial looked behind him at the knives he changed course, which were frozen still from the second stop. He estimated how quickly they'd fly over and how fast he'd have to move and how to move to avoid the collision. While a bit unusual, Danial decided his best course of action was to literally fall to the ground, but away from the spears since their setup was now closer to it. The robians would get hooked to the ground and catapult themselves into the oncoming knives, and he would be on the floor to avoid the many sharp objects.[/color]
[color=blue]He just hoped Peter then attacked in a manner that would cover his back, as this process would leave him on the ground for at least a few seconds. Seconds his enemies will move on considering their agility.[/color]

OOC: This time stop thing can be pretty complicated if you don't fully know how to position everything, along with the limitation of it having to be near you. If I didn't have teliportation, I'd probably not be able to pull everything off. And also HTML color formatting can get annoying in paragraphs. Ugh.
