I doubt that it will actually happen, but it seems possible. They've already got Sonic & Co. in space fighting a homicidal mechanical menace (the Metarex, I believe), so they can go as far as a Riders tie-in, I guess.
I doubt it. I very much suspect the Metallix storyline is going to be the last one. (The finale to it felt very, well, final.) Plus I doubt they could top it dramatically. (In fact, I was surprised they developed it the way they did, I was expecting far less)
