i just dnt get it what more do you want? what else does sega have to do?

1. they should be thankful sega even did a sonic 4 and not some gimmicky sonic game

2. ok there are some rehashes of the music from megaman 2 and the robot masters designs were very similiar to previous ones but noone n the megaman fanbase complained about it as far as i know

3. sega is making money anyway because they will be buying sonic 1

4. its not going to stop people like me from buying the game im know there are alot of sonic fans out there that will still buy this regardless of whether its 16-bit or 3d sidescrolling

So your boycotting Sonic 4, and buying Sonic 1, from the same people. GENIUS! I should have thought of this. This plan is so deviously unexpected, there's no way it'll fail. Except, Sega is still getting money, and we're buying one Sonic game when we could get that whole arcade collection on XBL. And then there's the fact that we are pretty much still buying Sonic 4, just with oudated graphics. Hmmm....

But really, when you look at Sonic's fanbase, people give you a funny look and go, "You sure this isn't the Halo boards? Or are you guys just that stupid?"

Some fans think they know what a good game is face facts Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic and the Black Knight sucked big time and don't even get me started on Sonic 2006.chocolate1325

Pretty much I find that all Sonic games started to be bad starting with the release of Sonic Adventure 1 except for of course, Sonic Rush (but that was a bit better than the usual stuffy sonic games).

Actually, It's been bad since all games after Sonic and Knuckles.

Hopefully, this one will be better.

Those Sonic fans are backwards in their planning. They need to do something different.

Now?  I would think they've been laughing for some time considering they have repeatedly shipped out (what to some can be described as) "shoddy" merchandise, and still make profit out of it.  If anything, this game is just a ruse to reaffirm the Sonic Fanbase, at which they will abandon such thoughts and continue with what they've BEEN doing.

Saying that many worry the protest will cause Sega not to put as much effort into upcoming Sonic games which might be exactly what this fanbase wants. Mind you this is the group with the same mindset that thought both Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 2006 were masterpieces with solid gameplay and excellent stor....hahahahahaha almost got through that with a straight face.

Well I thought we were supposed to be the "intellegent" Sonic group here. The fanbase not made up of 12 years olds and furries who write errotic Shadow fanfiction. Many times our discussions are as to WHY the Sonic series is doing so poorly now. You can be a Sonic fan, just don't be a retarded Sonic fan. We don't have to buy every game with Sonic's mug slapped on it. I like Mario but I don't go buy every sports/party game Nintendo cranks out.

All of us here and most people I've talked to are happy about Sonic 4. Just like there's a large contingent of gamers who don't like 3D Mario and bought up both NSMB games more than Galaxy, there's a large contingent of Sonic fans who are tired of "Adventure Sonic" and even despise it. I think it's stupid to want it in 16 bit sprites, then it's just being a nostalgia game instead of a new Sonic game. There's a reason NSMBWii isn't done in 16 bit sprites. Megaman's 8 bitness was a cute gimmick, but really there's not reason they couldn't use modern graphics in a side scrolling Megaman game now.

Boycotts fail all the time anyway. Look at the pitful outcome of the MW2 and L4D2 protests. Didn't stop either game from selling a bunch.

Also remember how pitiful Black Knight's sales were. Sega finally had to come to the realization that they can no longer milk Sonic for easy money to kids and hopeless devotees. They need to bring Sonic back to the masses or it's game over.

Don't worry. I'm definatley not defending the Sonic fanbase. When I said I'm overprotective, I meant something else. I promise I'll put that aside and continue mocking those weirdos that I've been doing for years. XP Let's put all this behind us and keep the TRUE Sonic alive, okay? :D

Back on topic, we just need to kick all them dingbats in the butt. :)
