Once upon a time, Sega was one of the primary competitors to Nintendo in the video game world. A few of their early consoles even out sold their competitors in specific areas (such as the Master System in Europe and the Genesis in North America). What was your favorite Sega system?

I still have my Game Gear and Genesis. Lots of great memories. I voted Game Gear though as I took that thing everywhere with me. I played it at home, on car trips, basically anywhere.

I recently sent my Game Gear in to have its capacitors replaced. I have audio again which is great and I bought a couple new to me games for it; Primal Rage and Battletoads. Still fun to this day.

The Genesis is not only my favorite SEGA system, but it's my overall favorite system of all time. Still, that is not to say that I don't love the SEGA CD, Saturn and Dreamcast either because of titles such as Sonic CD, Robo Aleste, NiGHTS into Dreams, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Galactic Attack, Power Stone, NFL 2K, Shenmue, etc. I'm currently playing through Skies of Arcadia, and as someone that doesn't really enjoy jrpgs for the most part, this game has quickly become one of those exceptions. It makes me wish I had gotten it for my Dreamcast back in the day, because I guess I really was missing out. So yeah, that's another title to add to the massive catalog of SEGA IP's that I enjoy.

The 32X I play once in a while for Knuckles Chaotix or After Burner, but I rarely touch my Game Gear anymore, and I never was into the Master System.

Had to go Genesis for this one. It's a hard choice though. Genesis was great for arcade style action games but didn't really have a great library of RPGs or anything like that. Dreamcast had a much more diverse line-up of games and is a very close second.

Sega Genesis had so many great titles Robocop Vs. Terminator, Maximum Carnage, Mortal Kombat "Proper", and of course SONIC THE HEDGEHOG.

Probably the Genesis, because I didn't play enough Dreamcast games. I was pretty young when I played the Game Gear, but I liked that system a lot too.

LOL who picked Sega CD? That was a piece of shit. Same with the 32X.

It was tough for me between Genesis and Saturn. I'll go with Genesis.

I loved the Genesis longer, but I really enjoyed the Dreamcast. My next retro purchase is a Saturn........... or Turbo graphx 16 if I can find one semi cheap.

I gave the nod to my DC, although it was a tough choice against my Genesis. I really like my GameGear, but the experiences are too limited compared to the other two for it to be a serious contender for me

Genesis, but I love my Saturn and Dreamcast also. I would like to pick up a Master System sometime.

The Sega MegaDrive or Sega Genesis Model 1. The original "Altered Beast" pack in game. From 1989 at the time if you bought it at launch for $350.00 they threw in an extra controller.

The high definition graphics model. This was Sega at it's best. I still have a Model 1 Mega Drive from 1988 and Model 1 Sega Genesis from 1989. Sega did mange to beat Nintendo for a short time. They won in America.

Sega Genesis really did want Nintendon:t

Would have been the Mini Genesis but I'll say the original Genesis.
