So i've had my PlayStation 1 for a while, i'm looking for good/hidden gems any suggestions?
When I was younger one of my favorite games was Loaded, I thought it was hilarious and so over the top. I pull out the old PS1 every once in a while to give it another run every once in a while.
Best one is Parasite Eve one of if not the greatest game ever made.
Silent Hill 1 is fantastic
Resident Evil 1-3 are great
Final Fantasy 7 and 9 are very good
Metal Gear Solid, but really who hasn't played this that wants to
Spider was fun, don't think I ever finished it though
I'm all aboard the Parasite Eve train. I'm in the middle of the EX game and trying to work my way through the Chrysler building for the first time. Its pretty challenging. I dunno if its a hidden gem but I recommend it. I also recommend the Lunar games if you're into anime style rpgs. They were some of the best ones. Also some of the earliest ones.
While I'm thinking of it, I'd also recommend Suikoden 1 & 2, Vagrant Story, and Legend of Mana, spent many hours on those games.

Agreed I still play this games.
Alundra could be one of those hidden gems you were looking for. It`s a Zelda clone but a veeeery good one.
Alundra is a very good game, good suggestion.
I would suggest Shadowman. I've never played it on PS1, but on N64 it is a lesser known game that has a great environment and cool story. Not to mention, it's a fun game. Maybe check that one out.
there are some of the all time playstation greats on the ps1,
As listed MGS is great and FF 7,8,9. but if you are a ff fan maybe try tactics that has got a huge fan base and is one of the 'unknown' titles in the series. There is also the classic FF games such as 5 and 6 on the ps1.
You also have great games like Crash Bandicoot and spyro. Crash team racing was really good recommend you check that out.
Another game i liked was Medievil, that was a fun hack and slash.
There really are loads of games out there have fun finding them :)
( First ever post :O)
PS1 had a lot of great games:
Action-Adventure
Action RPG
Adventure
RPG
Fighting
Sports

I would also recommend Alundra. It's a spiritual successor to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis platform-action-RPG, Landstalker. And personally, I liked Alundra even better than Zelda.
Alundra has some of the most well-written storytelling in gaming. Its dream-walker story was unique for its time, like a precursor to Paprika or Inception, except that Alundra's take on the theme was even more twisted, darker and ruthless. And the script quality was Working Designs at its finest.
It also has some of the most challenging gameplay in the RPG and action-adventure genres, more so than the likes of Zelda and even Dark Souls. Alundra's puzzles in particular can be very difficult, and at times frustrating, but it was a rewarding experience.
There are a ton of PSX games that you should play. In my mind this generation was the paramount for RPG games. Therefore, many of my favorites are RPGs.
FF VII-IX
Legend of Legaia
Star Ocean
SaGa Frontier
Wild Arms
Xenogears
Parasite Eve 2
Monster Rancher 2
Armored Core series
Metal Gear Solid
Gran Turismo 1 & 2
Frogger
Crash Bandicoot series
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Mortal Kombat 4
Tetris
1Xtreme & 2Xtreme
Colony Wars
Intelligent Qube
Blast Chamber
The game ''Crash team racing'' is one of my oldest videogames.I remember that my brother gave me it as as a surprise for birthday party. Those day I still remember. It was such many years ago. How do you think is this game is more active and progressive than ''Alundra'' ?
My favorite PS1 game is Castlevania Chronicles. It's an overlooked game that unfortunately released at a bad time when the PS1 was past the end of it's life and many people had already moved on to the PS2 so many people missed out on it, but it's a great game for anybody that is a fan of the Classic Castlevania style.
