Will this HDTV work fine for a PS3?

So the reason i didnt get a PS3 earlier was because i didnt have a HDTV to play it on. My parents just bought an HDTV and i was wondering if it is fine to play the PS3 on. The kind of TV is a Pioneer 50" Widescreen Plasma HDTV** (PDP-5080HD). If anyone knows a lot about HDTV's and all that stuff it would really be helpful. thank you

Tvs that big are 1080p native nowadays, A LOT more pixels in the screen.

Everything else is just fine... But don't worry too much, since the TV is able to upscale the signal to 1080p through HDMI so your PS3 will look great.
