Why is Patapon so highly praised?

I played the demo of the first one and I swear that's one of the worst games I ever played for PSP. No offense to you Patapon lovers but I think this is just another under average game for me.

Because lots of people like it. With every game there's at least one person who doesn't like it and in this situation, that's you. I'm not all that fond of it myself and am kinda hesistant about purchasing 1&2, but I can see how people can like it.

It's really all perspective. However Patapon is highly praised because it is the first game to develop a new style of "action rhythm" in 2-D no lessand specifically develop it on the psp which hasn't had anything like it before that point.

But in the endit all comes down to the player whether or not he/she finds it enjoyable.

It's all a matter of taste. I'm not that big a fan of FPS games. I like them every once in awhile, but I prefer strategy and rhythm games more. Patapon is right up my alley. I can see how it's a love it or hate it kind of game.

I didnt like the demo and have never really rated it. I think players enjoy it as it is challenging, calming and very different from anything that has ever been made before.

Try playing Warriors of the Lost Empire, or Mana Khemia. Those games are truly terrible. Patapon is just an acquired taste.

Ive played the full one, and its the most kiddish game i have every played, plus its just plain stupid, the people who deny it just gotta look at them selves in the mirror and say - pata pata pata pon....LOL

Kiddish? Little eye balls killing other little eye balls and big monsters with spears, swords and other weapons? Compare that to something like Pokemon, or YuGiOh.

It's an original game, but games are highly subjective. If you didn't like the demo, there isn't much else that can change your mind. Read some reviews, not just the score.

Im with all u patapon haters, I hate that game so much!!

I thought the demo wasn't that great. But then I went to the store looking for LocoRoco 2 and they didn't have it, so I bought Patapon. It's WAY better than the demo, plus (call me a noob) it took me 31 good hours to beat the story mode. I thought it was a difficult, unique and fun game. The drawbacks in the first one have been improved in the 2nd one though. I personaly like Patapon 2 better.

Not everyone likes everything some people hate this game and a lot love it like me I cant stop playing it. I beat the first 3 times(putting over 72 hours of just playing) and now the 2nd is even better and I can't put this one down.

I love this game because its different, fun and hard. The game looks beautiful and the bosses are just amazing!

Personally, I don't see how you could NOT like this game. It's really got everything you need all in one awesome package: action, humor, personality, RPG elements, strategy elements, rhythm elements, fantastic artstyle, great music . . . well, you see where this is going.

It's a fantastic game and I'm willing to bet that most of the people who said otherwise just didn't give it a fairchance.

I found Patapon to be incredibly horrible in every aspect. First of all, it's annoying as hell hearing those repetitive sounds, and it's just horrifically boring.
Personally, I believe it has no purpose. Well, that's my opinion on it.
