Nope they are the same in every other aspect. If you have the cash get a 160GB I live by the code of, If the option if there, get it, you will regret it later.

If it's cheaper then get a 120GB (only if it's cheaper). That way you can just pick up a 500GB hard drive off of Amazon for 40 bucks and swap them.

They're the same price than obviously get the 160gb. If not get the 120gb and upgrade the HDD if you want too.

Is there a limit to what the PS3 can use as an internal HDD? I ask becasus someone told me that there was a limit and that you have to create a partition for the extra storage above what the PS3 can read. Sounds like rubbish to me but anyone with a HDD larger than 320GB please chime in. I would like to upgrade to a 1TB internal system drive.

I'm still getting by with my launch unit's 60GB... Get the smallest one and then upgrade if you'll be buying and installing many games. 500GB drives go for $50.

If it sounds like rubbish, it's because it is. :P I have a PS3 with a 500GB hard drive that works just fine, just did a regular swap, restored the back-up, and it was all good.

I've researched this quite a bit and have no definite max for a PS3 HDD. My friend has a 500GB and doesn't have any issues. I've also seen that people are using 640GB HDD's as well. You'll have to wait on the 1TB internal though. Since PS3 uses a "laptop" HDD and the standard thickness is 9mm... 1TB HDD's are 12mm. I haven't seen one that's been able to fit in the PS3's HDD caddie. I do know that 1TB works fine as an external option though... so, I'm assuming 1TB would work internally as far as compatibility is concerned.

Get the 160gb if there's only little price difference. It's hassle-free

Actually I read somewhere that the 160 has a little fast wi-fi compared to the 120 one.

And that would probably be the best way to go. Since the hard drive is so cheap and easy to upgrade, compare the specs of the rest of the components and buy the one that is best in other areas.
