Due to all the big hiters in 08 (MGS4, resistance2, killzone2, gt5, gta4) we sometimes tend to forget about games that become overlooked such as

tekken6, merecenaries2, and some more

Soul Calibur ate it.
As for mercenaries, it's miles off and is multi-platform.

I LOVE TEKKEN. i have soul calibur 2 and 3 but i still prefer tekken.

How could you be hyped up for Tekken 6 when Namco fails to deliver any new information, images or videos on it? The only thing we've seen lately is shaky footage filmed off the arcade version and to tell you the truth, what I saw didn't impress me at all.

it's seems so similar to 5 at this stage that i'll wait to see something really new in the franchise that stirs my interest. unitl then tekken 5 is more than enough to keep me busy

Im surprised in some of these people, Soul calibug kill tekken?! LOLOLOLOL Tekken 6 will be supreme and I cant wait for it. Im just not talking about it too much or the wait will seem longer

There isnt hype for Tekken because of how far it is off. You also have to think about the rest of the 2008 smash hit games for the PS3 that are must buys(MGS4 DMC4,RFOM2,ect) and some games tend to be forgoten until more info is released.

T6 has been released in the arcades in Japan for awhile now and has become VERY popular already rivaling DR. There are also some arcades in Canada and according to reports there it has attracted alot of attention and has been getting a very positive response from players. Right now Namco is just giving some playtime to their product so that they iron out ne kinks in the gameplay then release it for the PS3, which won't take very long as the arcades that are running the game are using PS3 hardware. Tekken is still one of the most popular fighting games out there w/o a doubt and this installation of the series looks to continue that trend. Can't wait for the tourneys :D

there's pleanty of info on tekken 6.

with websites like sdtekken, tekkenzaibatsu, and tekkenofficial

a lot of stuff is covered from gameplay mechanics, to glitch videos, to death combos.

Tekken has a way cooler cast of characters compared to soul caliber. Also tekken actually requires a bit of skill, whereas soulcalber is just plainbutton mashing. Man, it's always exciting to see what yoshimitsu looks like in a new tekken game

All the bigger games ate all the hype for Tekken 6, and Tekken 6 is going to be the same game just like all the others, from what I saw in the gameplay demo, it looked the same as a PS2 game with nothing really improved.

I don't mind spending $60 on a game...but a fighting game is NOT worth $60 in my opinion. They just don't last...and there's not enough to them. Fighting games = rental when buddies come over or somethin...
