Make sure the output settings are correct on the XMB, and I know this is a basic question, but are you using an HDMI cable, or the standard three-plug RCAs? We'll get ya sorted...

It could be your TV (never heard of the brand) as far as size meaning worse quality, everything looks fine on my 51" so I don't agree with that. Also check under the settings to make sure you have it set to 1080 or 720P and use HDMI.

Dark Slayer is correct, you need to change that resolution to 720p or 1080i(p). Make sure you use HDMI or HD Component cables and not the regular SD cables.

XMB is your menu system, like when you first power up the console... There are al lot of different menus and sub-menus.

Go to "Settings" which is second from the left.

Scroll down to "Display Settings".

Make sure it's set for HDMI output, and you don't need the RCA cables, just the HDMI. That cable carries audio AND video in one nice cable.

:)

Check that out, and let me know if you need further clarification.

By XMB he means the main menu of the PS3. Go to the settings tab and click display settings > HDMI > automatic and it should set the resolution to HD. 480i means it's still in SD.

Go to settings, then video settings or display settings (forgot which exactly). It'll ask you to sync the video settings automatically or you can set them manually, just choose automatic and it should take care of the rest.

Err, no. Remove the RCA cables and when you're using the TV there should be several modes. There should be an HDMI mode, or channel or whatever, switch to it.

You need to use either component cables or an HDMI cable. The component cables has 5 plugs and will let you play in HD and also HDMI cable will do that too. The RCA cable will only play standard video.

The TV size doesn't really matter too much in my experience, though I guess it depends on how far you sit away from it. My advice is that you don't have the settings on your TV correct, also make sure your HDMI cable is plugged in right.

Some of the bigger TV's have a lot of different slots so it's confusing sometimes

Ok, so are you sure you have the hdmi cable plugged in? From the PS3 to the TV. You might be on the wrong channel then. Keep pressing the different source channels until you see something.

Well it really shouldn't be this complicated. a) Use an hdmi b) be sure your ps3 is set to hdmi c) of course choose hdmi as your tv setting d) be sure it's plugged in properly e)? Your tv brand? hmmmm do some research...lower end models can have some wankiness on the go f)? still blurry? try a different cable g)? still blurry try your ps3 on a dif tv and see if it's blurry via hdmi h)? still blurry? try a dif hdmi port on your tv i) ? still blurry? your tv is on the bum Seriouisly your tv should not be having these problems. If it were a ps2 then Id understand the possible problems with component cables and less known tv brand. However, the ps3 is not old tech. Shouldn't be having these issues.

Edit: Gz on getting it to work! lol I shoulda read the above post 1st :)
