For me I just got my PSPgo, and the game that made me buy it was not GTA LCS or VCS cause those are also on PS2 and I did not buy it for Chinatown Wars because I have a DS and can play it (I probably will get the PSPgo version thought). To me VCS was disappointing compared to the original Vice City (which I love to death), and LCS, it was very good, even great, but it was restricted from reaching its full potential (Chinatown Wars is the best handheld GTA in my opinion)... I got a PSPgo for one game (but will get more besides that)... and that game is Valkyria Chronicles 2. Which comes out in the summer (well I better get Chinatown Wars till then, but I only got Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil 2, which FF7 is good but not amazing as I thought it would be, and RE2, well RE4 and RE5 are better in my opinion but its still good). So Valkyria Chronicles 2 is the one reason why I got a PSPgo, cause other than that I would have gladly stayed with my DS Lite... but PSPgo is cool (but the download/install times are to long...)! Well at first I was waiting for games to download but there were too many things moving it, as well as one time the battery life ran out of juice, but then I realized the convenience that I could have been playing my DS the whole time. Thats the great thing about the DS.
I originally got my PSP because I was impressed at how much power they had crammed into a tiny device and not for any particular game. I ended up buying a Go once it came out because I decided that I actually wanted to play games on the thing instead of having what amounts to a paperweight. No specific reason again, but by this point, there are some amazing games on the PSP and I like that I finally have a system that's comfortable to use.
Gran Turismo "Mobile" back when the 1000 launched, after 5 years of delays, what a disappointment, lol. But since then, there have been many great games, that I have enjoyed.
I bought my original PSP 1000 because of the functionality. At first I thought the UMD movies were an awesome idea. But since the original PSP control scheme is almost unplayable because of how uncomfortable it is to hold I bought a PSP Go.
However I would not have bought a Go if it were not for the new games. Assassin's Creed, GT, LBP, and Jak and Daxter are all games that I will, at some point, have in my collection. Just have to wait for my OSAP. There's no better way to spend student loan money than on video games :)
No particlar game - I got a PSP within a couple of months of them first coming out and have loved it ever since (upgraded to a 3000 in Spetember). The first game I really got into and completed was Ridge Racer closely followed by Burnout Legends :D
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite... i haven't played any game seriously after that... well maybe echochrome, but i play that on short bursts........ waiting for Monster Hunter Portable 3 (i hope it gets a US release, wonder what they'll cal it...)....
First of all was Gran Turismo - but after release I decided not to buy PSP version (lack of career mode). And now? I think that Tekken: DR was my first title that could push me to buy PSP 3k..
I didn't really get a PSP for anyt particular game, but I must say if I knew then what i know now, I would have bought one for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Best PSP game yet, IMO.
I bought the original PSP-1000(together with megaman powered up, burnout, daxter, and tekken DR) because of the hype of my friends I loved it at first but after a year I bought the "other handheld" and I had more fun with it. I kept my psp but I'm not using it much now, I'm not saying it's bad I just prefer the games of the "other handheld", it's best to have both.
I loled on the Nascar answer, thank you ston3henge, that was hilarious, you just made my day with that... XD

I wasn't, uh, joking... I really DID buy a PSP for the NASCAR game. I wanted a portable version for travel so that I didn't have to haul my PS2 with me while on the road for business. I had the DS, but they never offered up an oval-basedracing game (though "Race Driver: Create & Race" had some stock car racing in it) so I "converted".
Monster Hunter 1&2. I bought number 2 when it was first released, and played it none-stop for around a week and ended up breaking my second PSP. Not bought one since....
Well I got the PSP the first year it came out PSP 1000 and I got it becase it looked impressive for a handheld console and that Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories was on the PSP which was one of the first games I owned. However the battery in my PSP stopped working then I tryed getting a battery for it I looked every where but couldn't one. But I have a Blue PSP 3003 for Christmas though I'd rather have that then a PSP Go as UMD games are cheaper then downloads.
Ahmen to THAT. I spent about an hour on "REEL FISHING" last night and then switched to "Crash Bandicoot" and then the first "Syphon Filter"... it's been awhile since I played an actual PSP-designed game on the thing!!!

Actually, I guess i did put in about 45 minutes on "Untold Legends". But seriously, the PSOne games are fantastic selling points for the system. I was discussing that fact with a game store clerk the other day, about how we're looking backward at all of these great games because by-and-large there isn't much coming out new which is all that compelling... but these older games were genius and they still hold up today. Especially "REEL FISHING". When "MGS PEACEWALKER" comes out that'll probably change for me and a few million others on the planet, but until Spring it's gonna be raining PSOne games for me... c'mooooon "Tony Hawk"!!!
Nothing in particular, I got it as a random Christmas gift in 2005. But I'm glad that I did get it with the slew of RPGs the system hosts.Flame_Blade88
