I might buy a 8 gb memory stick on ebay because they go so cheap there, but people say don't buy from Ebay, it might be a fake. What does that mean? Does it mean that it's really not an 8gb memory stick but maybe a 256 mb? What?
Plastic might be flimsy, transfer rate might be slow, etc. Mostly it's related to the whole custom PSP thing and running some of those features, so if you have official firmware, I wouldn't worry about it. Just check the seller's feedback.
eight gigs definately exist. if you go to sony's website and search for an eight gig memory stick you'll find them for psp and their digital cameras (they look exactly the same) but they're usually sold out.
There are 8 gig mem sticks. I have a fake 4 gig and i can tell u this that its not all the same. If you get lucky you still have 4 gigs but at the speed of a 2gb. Mine works perfectly and with no prob. But i no ppl how got fake ones and it had less space and some stuff didnt even.
